Q: you recently ranked XEI more highly than CDZ. Could you offer a comparison between the 2? I have read elsewhere that CDZ, which I own, holds too many high yield/high risk
stocks. Would substituting XEI address that, or would it create its own issues?

Thanks

Q: I'd like to put a portfolio of Canadian REITS 12 to 15. Is it possible to run a screen that shows balance sheets and FFO's prior to the Covid19 market meltdown? Tax treatment for REITS are the treated like dividend stocks? Is it better to hold this portfolio in RRIF or a taxable account? Are their any REITS with moat like barriers to entry. Please deducted as many questions as necessary. This can be a private or public question. Also funds not needed anytime before 5 years. Thank you David

Q: Hello,

What is your opinion on Capital One Financial? I noticed they have large insider ownership (for US financial institutions). The CEO has been there for 16 years. They were profitable during the financial crisis and apparently have strict underwriting. They have been beaten down worse than many. How do you think they will fair during this time? Would you buy here and if so, what is your target price in 12 months time?

Thank you!

Q: I would like to add a mix of income stocks to my portfolio (for a 5-10yr hold) which has been primarily growth oriented and comprised of a number of 5i’s BE Model Portfolio names.
a) Could you please rank the above listed stocks for dividends with preference for long term yoield of at least 4-5%, and growth back to YTD highs over the next year or two. Moderate to high risk is okay.
b) List any particular concerns you see with any of them.
c) Your suggestions for 1-2 better names in the current market to represent sectors such as utilities, financials, Telecoms, Reits, and ndustrials would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your wisdom and guidance over these unprecedented times.

Q: Wondering what you think of this company? It is a spinoff from Hewlett Packard that i had in my account. I noticed one question about in in 2018 when you mentionned it had a high debt load. I notice that it makes much larger swings than the general market on up's and down's. And i was wondering whether it might be a good candidate for swing trading, especially since i have a bit of it already.
Thanks

Q: Do you expect the jewelry business to decline in 2020 ? Mene being an online business might see more traffic, do you agree ? They will report their Q4 and end of year around May 31st. I have no doubt this will be their best quarter yet. But I am questioning how their business will fair for 2020 and beyond. Can you comment on management and business model ?

Q: HI guys
Have been a holder for Acadian Timber for quite a while, and wondering with the share price drop is this a good time to add a bit more - up to a 3% position for income and a bit of capital appreciation. A couple of questions - with the company trading substantially below book value does that put a floor somewhat on share price? And how strong is the dividend and the company financially - e.g. I see the company has more than a 100% payout ratio in terms of the dividend - can they sustain this for a period of time waiting for markets to improve?

Thanks

Stuart

Q: Negativity re Covid 19 seems to be decreasing and attention may be switching to the economy, beginning with this weeks reports. Everything I'm reading suggests that the massive testing required to safely open the economy just isn't there, and a vaccine is far away. Meaning a later rather than sooner scenario for business as usual. Today's retail numbers and bank earnings have moved the market lower and only reflect March's partial shutdown.Do you see the markets recent Covid 19 optimism, being replaced by economic negativity, with markets deteriorating further towards Q2 numbers. I have a large cash position and cognizant of your buy slowly strategy, but can't help thinking the worse is yet to come.
Thanks Peter.

Q: What instruments do you use to determine an inverted bond yield curve?
Do you think we had one last year?
If an inverted yield curve [bear argument] occurred, what would signal it's reversal [bull argument].

Q: Hi Team,
I am holding TWLO, and down 12% on it as of today. It has been showing some strength lately with the other tech names, but perhaps not as much as some others. What do you think of this companies growth potential? I am wondering if I should hold it, or if you would recommend switching the holding into a different US tech growth stock that you are much more convinced of (was noticing ROKU or DOCU)? I currently already hold NOW, AYX, CRM, SQ,TTD,FB. Thanks for your advice.

Shane.
