Q: Hi 5i Team!

How do you feel about Workiva these days? I last inquired a year ago and not many questions since so it seems under the radar. Like most others it is off approx 40% since it's highs.
They released Q1 numbers Apr 30. It appears they made good improvements vs Q1 2019.
They are only providing Q2 guidance (but are providing full year commentary). How does their guidance compare vs Q2 2019 results.
Would your favourite in the space still be AYX?

Cheers,
Steve

Q: Morning, Wondering about your thoughts on buying Baba right now?
I need more international exposure, which this seems to satisfy, would you be
concerned by C19 implications, or anything else? Would be in an RRSP account which is well diversified, long term hold, growth the objective. If not Baba, others more favourable? Thanks Again

Q: Given that my Margin account has the 5 big banks and 2 Telecoms paying dividends on a periodic basis and that I'm not "too" concerned that these will cut their dividends, would it be wise to implement trailing stop loss orders for these in case there is another retest of the lows of March. Had I done that at the beginning of the year, I could have picked up the above at much reduce prices with resulting greater dividend yields. And would using the same procedure for my RIF account (which has mainly REITs) be beneficial to capture the current values to avoid further losses there.
Your comments. Thank you

Q: Hello,

I have held some shares of SGOL for awhile as my gold bulion holding. I noticed that there are no questions ever asked about SGOL and usually you recommend PHYS for bullion exposure. Can you comment on SGOL and compare to PHYS? Looks like SGOL has the lowest management fees of the bullion etf's. Is there any great reason to switch to PHYS or consider it for future purchases?

Thanks

Q: Regarding your 28 April remarks for C.DOC (previously Premier Health Group and now CloudMD Software) subscribers should be aware that two analysts have recently come out in support of this company. Bruce Campbell 2 seems to be moving on from the cannabis sector and made it a top pick on Market Call last Monday. And Keith Schaefer (who also seems to have moved on, this time from the energy sector) gave it a strong endorsement in his newsletter. Both of them are looking at DOC as a very early stage Teladoc Health ($12.6B market cap on the NYSE) so that might explain some of the recent interest.

Q: Hi 5i
Looking over your dividend update page I find I've been affected by some cuts and suspensions (and happily some increases). These cuts would not have been necessary but considering the current circumstances it is understandable.
When things turn around would you expect dividends to be reinstated to where they were previously ? I know what this question sounds like but I can't use the word "normally" in it - ie. normally a company cuts a dividends and goes forward from there but for example and picking one at random CAE suspends dividends - when they reinstate the dividend one day would you think they will start from scratch at some new dividend amount or go back to "where it was" ?

Opinions?

Thanks
Mike

Q: Hello
Have you ever considered limiting the words in a question to something reasonable? Perhaps something like 100 words. Some questions are sooooooo long that it takes the fun away from reading them. Just a suggestion. :)

Q: Greetings 5i Team,
on 24 Mar, I SOLD these 4 companies for tax loss capture and am considering buying them back now. I note that FSZ and EIF have recovered more quickly than AD and NFI. Also, they are all still selling below what I had originally paid.
In what order would you buy these back? Is there a company(s) among them that you would not buy back at this time?

Thank you for this excellent service.
Steve

Q: Hi Team,
I have holdings of 800 SU and 1000 CNQ at a deep loss and would like to sell them to realize the capital losses and buy them back after 30 days. Using the sold proceeds to buy canadian energy ETF to stay in the sector. Upon 30 days later sell the ETF and buy back the SU and CNQ. Do you see this is workable and since the commision is only $7.00 per trade, so it is nothing to consider.
Your suggestion of the canadian energy ETF is appreciated !!
Thanks as always,
Tak
