Q: Peter; CBC has just reported on a investigation by the armed fire es into LTC facilities in Quebec and Ontario that is quite terrible. Your premier is going on air shortly - seems to me this could cause disruption in those stocks. Do,you think it is serious enough for them to do a “ takeover” of the offending facilities for a period of time? Thanks. Rod

Q: Hello 5i Team,
I am in the process of building an income portfolio and I would like your opinion on the above stocks. Would you start a .5 position in the current market environment? (While the markets are rising) All of the above are for very long term holds.
Do you think KEY's dividend is sustainable and do you think its assets might look attractive to a bigger player like ENB?
I like gold long term and I have .5 positions in AGI and YRI and comfortable with. I currently view Sprott as sort of a mini ETF for junior gold stocks. As in I do not have the expertise or tolerance for individual junior stocks but I would be able to get a diversified portfolio of such stocks run by proven leadership and expertise. Is this a reasonable view to have of SII? Another .5 position would bring my total gold exposure to 10% which is where I would like to keep it. Does adding SII make sense given a higher risk tolerance or does adding to AGI or YRI make more sense.
I currently have no ETF exposure and the yields on ZWC and ZWE are quite attractive and they offer excellent diversification. Are the yields sustainable? I have heard that with covered call funds in general the main drawback is that the upside is limited while the main advantage is that the downside is also limited through yield. Is this correct? Income is the main objective with these holdings but if held for 10+ years or more I would expect some capital gains to be made. Is this reasonable? Do these ETFs ever trade at significant discounts or premium? How is the income classified to tax purposes?

Thank you for the great service!

Q: I purchased AMGN - 18 months ago for $243.00. Since that time, it has come up to that level a year ago and recently twice this year. I have had the stock 18 months and I am still under water. 5i likes this stock in the health field - how much longer do you think it will take before I see a profit? On another note today the 26th - the market had the biggest run in ages, but participants (mostly tech) NVDA, PYPL, SHOP, KXS along with other techs, did not participate and went the other way. Were people selling these stocks to raise money to buy the other ones that went up? I know you will have the right answer. Thanks Dennis

Q: I know you just added GOOS to one of your portfolios and mentioned it is cheaper compared to peers. What multiples are you looking at vs peers and what is it trading at? Also how is the balance sheet and how much revenue comes from China?
Thanks!

Also, just took a look at their website and just on a fashion perspective, it is doing really well (especially those Tron-like jackets... wish I could afford one).

Q: I have pretty much thought of GUD as a long, long term hold, and one that would be good to have in a market crisis when they could put their cash to work efficiently. But there it was and they didn't. Its starting to feel like aside from being generally close to book value, there is not much to see here. Have you had reason to rethink your position on GUD? Thank-you.

Q: Hello 5i,
I don't know if you have any expertise in old stock certificates but I thought I would run this by you just to see. I just opened an old box in an inheritence that we recently received and it looks a bit like someone was dreaming of making it rich: a series of old mining stocks. I have done a quick internet search but have found nothing. I don't know if you know if there is any simple way of dealing with this. They have names like: Atlas Chibougamau Mines Limited, Galloway Chibougamau Mines Limeted, beresford Lake Mines Limited, Conro Devopment Corporation Limited ( another Quebec mine), Laval Quebec Mines Limited,Peninsular Petroleum Limited, Alliance Mining and Securities Limited. As I say, this is not your area but maybe you have some ideas. thanks
