Q: A few weeks ago you recommended using Hedged C$ ETFs as you suggested the Canadian$ was likely to appreciate in the short-term. And it did. Do you still feel this way or has the Canadian$ gone up as far it as it can and will level off from here. THX

Q: I've held AltaGas for several years and am down over 40% in a cash account. I don't need to sell but I don't know if I'm getting the best return on that cash. Would you continue to hold, hoping that I recoup my capital? Or would you sell and put it into something else with more growth?

thanks,
Robert

Q: With 40,000,000 American loosing their jobs I note that on line gaming has picked as has on line movies.
What about on line equity trading. Has there been a move for those at home to open up trading accounts at Schwab, or Ameritrade and other financial institutions. I notice the huge moves in Airlines and Cruise ships and I am wondering if there are a lot of NEW players entering the Stock Market . RAK

Q: This is to answer the question posed by another subscriber. TD added PHO to their Quantitative Small Cap Portfolio and deleted DSG because it is now a large cap.

Here is the text:

Canadian Small Cap Model Portfolio Market Overview/Technology
We are adding a position in Photon Control Inc. (PHO-T) at 2.0%. We have seen a relative shift to value (i.e. cyclical) from growth over the past few weeks. One area where this shift has been confirmed is by the recent breakout in the more cyclical small-cap semiconductor stocks relative to the technology sector.
We are also removing our position in Descartes Systems Group Inc. (DSG-T, portfolio weight 5.9%). After gaining more than 134% since its addition to our small- cap model portfolio in early-2017, its market weight has increased to 26 bps (i.e. $5.5 billion market float) and as a result, it no longer qualifies in our small-cap universe.

Q: Are there any recommendations you may have for good alternative investment ETF's or Mutual Funds that a retiree can use to enhance income with some capital appreciation. (note: Stable income is the most important consideration.) Also what percentage allocation do you typically suggest for a portfolio.

Thank you.

Q: Need income, Like to convert from equity to ETF's with a dividend of 5-7% for the next 10-12 years ...15 Etf's... 5Can.5 US and 5 International. or close to that. Cover call ETF's OK, Dividend Growth always good. Leaning towards income first.
Many thanks for your excellent service.
