Q: Do you think this company is a recovery play? If so would you recommend it is a good time to initiate a position right now and hold for the long term? Thank you!
Q: With Endo's latest issues and a multi year low for their stock price, is it time to act for Mr Goodman? It would be great for GUD to go after the Paladin business. Endo needs the cash.
Can they do it? Should they?

Q: The profitability of the life insurance company is negatively impacted when the interest rates are low. Since the interest rates may remain low for a while, does it make sense to buy Sunlife at the moment?
Q: OECD is in the news predicting the possibility / likelyhood (??) of historic global recession. What might we see to refute / support this dire scenario?? Thanks, Jim
Q: I hold CNQ since 2015 and I am losing 50% on it.
Does the share price of CNQ stand a chance to go back to $42?
Is it worth to keep it or if the situation for oil in Canada is a lost cause?

Q: Hi, I owned the 5.25% Debentures (and stock) ahead of the COVID-crash, but bought more of both in the pit of the crash. I get that they are servicing a lot of debt, but I also felt that they were perhaps being punished for being an airline, without consideration of their essential service in most of their flying markets, and their largest input cost is fuel, which mitigates some lost revenue.
The Debentures have not recovered nearly as well as the stock. I'm OK holding on to the debentures, as they are less than 2% of my RSP, but would appreciate your perspective.

Q: Good morning 5i guys!
Thanks for everything as usual solid advice.
Divurging from ETF's for the canadian market. I am fairly well diversified. But lacking in tech.
Which individual tech stocks would comprise your home built canadian tech portfolio 'today'? Rough weights even though they are personal of course.
Thank you and looking forward to it.

Q: In a recent response to a portfolio question you said you couldn't comment on over 40 stocks in the portfolio but could comment on a few of them. Of IBM you said: "IBM we consider 'meh' and there are better ideas."
My question is this: Couldn't IBM have a place in a diversified RRIF portfolio from the perspective that it provides a reliable income stream to help meet mandatory minimum withdrawals? If you have to withdraw say a minimum of 4% a year, then IBM's 5% dividend certainly helps. If you still don't like IBM in this context, what else would you suggest for a 20 year hold?

Q: I’ve held BNS shares in a DRIP over the past 10 years. My ACB is about break even. I obviously chose the wrong bank as I would have done much better holding RY, TD, or NA over the same time period. Since I’m in a position to sell and not pay any tax, would you suggest switching over to one of the other big five or simply stay the course? I’m a long term investor and plan on leaving this money for my estate. Thanks for your insight.
Q: Hi, my question concerns slow repositioning of an actual 100 % dividend etf and stocks portfolio , for long term and retirement . Concerning the fact that various economical factors are now present for a future inflation (and then future interest raise in maybe 2 or 3 years ?): 1) what sectors will be safer, or even stay "safe" for dividends 2) what category of bond etf could be added to this portfolio , if indicated ? Many thanks ! JY
Q: I am interested in WELL and have been watching it for some time, but I have one nagging question I wanted to ask. I was part of the PHM hype a few years ago and was flying high (like everyone) until it came crashing down. The hype around WELL as well as being in the healthcare space reminds me a lot of PHM. But is that where the similarities end? Do you like it at today's levels? Thanks.
Q: 5i Office straw poll: What % cash is your group holding in their personal accounts.
With the rebound I am pulling the trigger on a few sales out of managed products I hold ( as part of my shift to ETFs) and am pondering keeping a larger position in cash as protection against a second wave/dip. I typically keep minimum cash.
