Q: Hi 5i,
I've been considering taking a position in REAL, especially now on the dip. However, and while I understand there may be many reasons why insiders sell that don't necessarily reflect their view of the future health of 'their' company, the number and size of sells of REAL by management over the past many months (particularly by Jason Smith) give me 'real' pause. Could you give your opinion on the insider selling that's taken place with REAL in the past year or so, especially when coupled with what I think is an almost complete lack of insider buying?
Thanks,
Peter
Q: I am looking to buy a position in U.US (Unity Software), but I need to sell one of the other listed companies to raise the cash to do this. Which one would you sell (or trim) to do this, taking into consideration this would be a long term investment. I am looking for maximum share price appreciation. Thanks
What is your current take on the company? They have reported what would appear promising two quarters as far as revenue while successively reducing their costs yet the stock has done nothing since it first bottomed in September. Overall there is not much movement despite of volatility. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Q: I’m seeing more and more questions from members about the EV space. I’ve taken a small position in EXRO with money I can afford to lose because their technology could be a game changer. I’m comfortable with the thought they may not succeed. It seems to me you always wait to endorse until a company has established a track record through sales, etc. This is obviously sound investing advice but doesn’t apply to many startups or companies with new technologies. I don’t often take ‘a flier’ but I feel we’re observing a sea change in energy and related industries. Could you discuss the EV space and identify some of the companies who may have your interest if not your dollars.
Q: I'm a buy and hold investor. I have a 2.86% position on Enbridge and 3.22% on TC. Would like to increase to about 4.% for each. . Looking primarily for dividend income. Thoughts ?
Q: your views on this company.
I'm having a hard time digesting the deal with Glencore and what it means to the company. Can I have your professional opinion on this company as an investment over the next 3-5years?
Thanks
I’m seeking to create a globally diversified all equity portfolio using low cost ETFs that accurately represent the market cap of each country for a 10-15 year hold. I also hold ZUT as an alternative to fixed income and am contributing to an inflation adjusted pension through my employer. For some real estate exposure we have two single family rental properties in slow and steady Manitoba. A small portion of my portfolio is in bitcoin as a hedge against inflation, not more than I’m comfortable loosing. BTC has been this year’s best performing asset but there are mixed opinions on its future and what I do own doesn’t cause me to loose sleep.
Currently my core holding is VEQT which is heavily overweight in Canadian equities. There are numerous ETFs for investors to sift through, many of which are very similar and it can be a bit overwhelming.
Firstly what are your thoughts on the strategy of holding a globally diversified portfolio that most accurately represents the market caps of each country? Or are there benefits of being overweight in certain countries, and if so can you recommend some ETFs?
If you believe being globally diversified with weightings equal to a country’s market cap is a sound strategy can you recommend some ETFs that would achieve this. I’ve been considering switching VEQT to VXC, XAW or XEQT.
Thanks for all the fantastic information and guidance. I really enjoy the investor education your service provides.
Q: What are your thoughts on Laurentian bank? It saw a big drop earlier in the year. I recall on a prior answer you indicated you were concerned based on the idea that where there is evidence of some problems, there is often larger problems hidden waiting to be discovered. Do you still have a pessimistic view of Laurentian?
Thanks
Q: Good morning,
Would you be "ok" with adding a new position in Real.to at this point? I started a small position much higher and am wondering regarding next steps. Small blip to capitalize or let the waters clear some more?
Thanks!

Q: With the unfortunate increase in covid cases I am wondering if now would be a good time to buy goodfood. The ease of delivery might appeal to homebound people.
In the latest earnings report from TFII, they note that the Company terminated the deal to aquire APPS transport. Can you add any color on the reason for termination of the deal?
