Q: Hello 5i Team
Comparing the top four companies in the the waste disposal business.
Ranking in terms of market capitalization (US$) is WM ($45.0B) , RSG ($27.1B), WCN ($26.9B) and GFL ($6.2B).
Ranking in terms of dividend yield is WM (2.04%) , RSG (1.90%), WCN (0.72 %) and GFL (0.20 %). All companies declare their dividends in US$ and WCN / GFL are eligible Canadian dividends.
The after tax yield on the US domiciled companies (WM and RSG) is higher than the Canadian domiciled companies (GFL and WCN).
1 - Overall, regardless of country domicile, please rank the companies in order of preference and why?
2 - Which is the better Canadian company WCN or GFL from a growth perspective as the yield is minimal?
3 - Any other companies that I should review?
Thank you

Q: I don't currently have any exposure to health care/pharma companies and would like to start building a position in 2 or 3 companies. Can you please provide me with some names that you would recommend in this area, and the reasons why you think they are good investments.

thanks
Paula

Q: First question on this company (V.BABY). It's a food and nutrition company that focuses primarily on infants, toddlers and children. In the last 6 weeks, it has picked up serious momentum as it has obtained clean label certifications, USDA organic certifications and retail broker agreements in preparation for the initial launch of its products in the US.

Q: Fortunately I have been forced into retirement and I do not have to worry about when to take the leap. I am balancing out my portfolio with a strong income focus. My portfolio is approximately 50/50 register and unregistered and I am carrying a large capital loss forward. Which of the above ETF's would be better off in an unregistered account?

Thank you

Q: Hello Peter,
When a sector is up, and some stocks in that sector are down, is that a cause for concern or just a day to day event? I am looking at gold , and the sector is surging whereas Karora and Novo Resources are trending downward.. Is it still a good time to buy into those? Also, what do you think of alamos gold at this levels of $15 plus.. thanks very much.

Q: 11:08 AM 7/21/2020

Would you please comment on the future viability of Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises RCL.

Given the ongoing worldwide Covid crisis it seems to me unlikely that this company or any other Cruise line can continue to operate.

They hold a vast amount of cash as prepaid cruises by customers, most of which they will have to eventually return or write off in bankruptcy or reorganization. They say that the cruises are just "deferred" till 2021 but Covid will roll on and most customers will never go back. Will this tip the company over the edge?

May 20, 2020 you said " We would go to RCL in a 'gamble' scenario." That the share price up $12 since then surprises me.

How huge is their debt now, and do they have any meaningful ability to service it. Would you invest in this company now? Their present income must be about nil. Looks to me like a binary outcome...... brilliant investment or bankruptcy.

Thank you......... Paul K.

Q: It seems you are quite bullish on this mid-cap gold producer. Is this because Eric Sprott has made an investment or are the fundamentals good as well? I can never quite understand gold producers and how they compare to each other.

Can you comment on the transaction today to sell its take in a nickel mine? Also, is the share consolidation the same as a reverse-split?

Q: Over the past few days, MMX has not appeared to have been among your recommendations in the gold sector. I was just wondering if that was a simple oversight or if something material had changed that has shifted your view of the company.

Many thanks
