Q: In a portfolio where the priorities are capital preservation and some income, these 7 equities represent about 45% of the total value. The other 55% is in sadly low paying GICs. The TOU is a left over from more positive times with a very small weight and kept with a hope for natural gas. The other 6 have weights of about 3% (TD) to 10% (BCE). My question is about how these would hold up if we had a very significant downturn with re-test to recent lows (or lower) with a much more prolonged recovery; do these stocks have some resilience? Are the balance sheets sufficiently secure to see less of an negative impact? Is there sufficient diversification with these holdings? Thanks for your excellent service.

Q: Just read your Company Updates and wondering if you could expand on the new public company CSU is starting with the TSS Group and Topicus.
Who is TSS?
Will CSU management be involved?

How different will it be from CSU and is this the first kind of venture like this for CSU and why are they dong this?
Thanks

Q: Hi,
TC Energy has already been hurt by Joe Biden’s promise to close Keystone XL. Unfortunately, we have held the stock For 20 years in a DRIP and I fear that the share price is at its greatest peril.
This was such an enormous cost for the company, I think survival becomes an issue , but certainly loss of value for years to come. What is your advice ?

Q: After the Sino Forest debacle we were told that the books were not easily checked because it was a foreign company. Is that a fact?
Also Mad Money Cramer at one point said never buy a Chinese company, are the requirements for a foreign company as far as reporting and being audited different then for a US company or a Canadian company?

thanks for the great service, Jean

Q: I sense that your positivity toward CAE has become somewhat muted. In response to their quarterly report, you stated their "future looks highly uncertain" and that currently, TFII might be the better industrial sector choice. I don't want to parse your every word but I am wondering if you have more concern for CAE now than you did two weeks ago, for example? Is CAE best looked at as a value play and in that context, a good choice for a long term hold?

Appreciate your insight.

Q: I hold AQN. FTS. BEP.UN. All in TFSA. I am looking to add to 1 for balance. BEP.UN Is up significantly for me and also to purchase. Is the spinoff coming for sure? As this could benefit account location. Longterm hold as well. Is it worth adding at these prices for a full position?

Q: It looks like stores that are reopening have their counters retrofited with plexiglass shields. Can you identify companies listed on the market that would profit of an increase in demand for this material?
Thank you
