Q: In a recent response to a portfolio question you said you couldn't comment on over 40 stocks in the portfolio but could comment on a few of them. Of IBM you said: "IBM we consider 'meh' and there are better ideas."

My question is this: Couldn't IBM have a place in a diversified RRIF portfolio from the perspective that it provides a reliable income stream to help meet mandatory minimum withdrawals? If you have to withdraw say a minimum of 4% a year, then IBM's 5% dividend certainly helps. If you still don't like IBM in this context, what else would you suggest for a 20 year hold?

Q: I’ve held BNS shares in a DRIP over the past 10 years. My ACB is about break even. I obviously chose the wrong bank as I would have done much better holding RY, TD, or NA over the same time period. Since I’m in a position to sell and not pay any tax, would you suggest switching over to one of the other big five or simply stay the course? I’m a long term investor and plan on leaving this money for my estate. Thanks for your insight.

Q: Hi, my question concerns slow repositioning of an actual 100 % dividend etf and stocks portfolio , for long term and retirement . Concerning the fact that various economical factors are now present for a future inflation (and then future interest raise in maybe 2 or 3 years ?): 1) what sectors will be safer, or even stay "safe" for dividends 2) what category of bond etf could be added to this portfolio , if indicated ? Many thanks ! JY

Q: I am interested in WELL and have been watching it for some time, but I have one nagging question I wanted to ask. I was part of the PHM hype a few years ago and was flying high (like everyone) until it came crashing down. The hype around WELL as well as being in the healthcare space reminds me a lot of PHM. But is that where the similarities end? Do you like it at today's levels? Thanks.

Q: 5i Office straw poll: What % cash is your group holding in their personal accounts.

With the rebound I am pulling the trigger on a few sales out of managed products I hold ( as part of my shift to ETFs) and am pondering keeping a larger position in cash as protection against a second wave/dip. I typically keep minimum cash.

Q: A few weeks ago you recommended using Hedged C$ ETFs as you suggested the Canadian$ was likely to appreciate in the short-term. And it did. Do you still feel this way or has the Canadian$ gone up as far it as it can and will level off from here. THX

Q: I've held AltaGas for several years and am down over 40% in a cash account. I don't need to sell but I don't know if I'm getting the best return on that cash. Would you continue to hold, hoping that I recoup my capital? Or would you sell and put it into something else with more growth?

thanks,
Robert

Q: With 40,000,000 American loosing their jobs I note that on line gaming has picked as has on line movies.
What about on line equity trading. Has there been a move for those at home to open up trading accounts at Schwab, or Ameritrade and other financial institutions. I notice the huge moves in Airlines and Cruise ships and I am wondering if there are a lot of NEW players entering the Stock Market . RAK
