Q: Hi team,

I sent the following question last week and have not seen any reply yet. Did you receive it ?

Here is the question.

Which are your favorite cyclical stocks presently, Cdian and U.S., for strong growth in a TFSA ? Could you comment at the same time on CAVA-N, COIN-Q and PDD-Q ?

Gratefully,

Jacques IDS

Q: Though different, of these three companies, which would likely have a better run in the electrification theme? Are there better US plays on the theme?
With many thanks.

Q: Hi there - thanks for your reply. Just a follow up for clarification. You mentioned XEQT has exposure to fixed income which you noted as a reason for a better etf for long term hold, but I think both XEQT and XWD are approximately 100% in equities, with a different approach to geographical weighting. Does this change your recommendation of XEQT over XWD long term? Thank you!

Q: Bloomberg article today summarized:

Forget the stock market or private credit. Fixed income will outstrip other asset classes after “a generational reset higher in bond yields,” according to Pacific Investment Management. “Active fixed income is positioned to perform well if there are no recessions over our secular horizon and to perform even better if there are,” Pimco’s Richard Clarida, Andrew Balls and Daniel Ivascyn wrote in an outlook released Tuesday. As prices climb and inflation recedes, they expect bonds will be even more attractive than cash.

Can you offer some guidance/thoughts on this? I’m a growth investor primarily in stocks, and not familiar with bonds.

Can we benefit from some torque? What would be your top ETF plays in this?

Q: In many of your answers regarding the AI phenomenon, SMCI used to pop up along with VRT. VRT has hung in there very nicely, but SMCI is struggling near a 60% haircut from its peak. From your last comment on May23, you advise to keep both eyes on it, but I,m wondering if some compitition is affecting the company. Who are its closest competitors? How did the last quarter report compare to the previous 7 quarters, and would that explain the current negative momentum? What should the next report show that would give me comfort to hang in there?

Thanks, Lionel
