Q: Good morning;

I am doing some rebalancing of my portfolio. In light of my views on world events over the next 3-5 years I am looking for the top 3 "Consumer Defensive" stocks. I believe there to be risk in the US dollar over this period so would appreciate your recommendations on 3 Canadian and 3 American consumer defensive stocks and what makes them a consideration.

Q: Good morning I would appreciate your opinion on QSR latest results. I just finished reading through and although growth seems slow it was heading in the right direction. I am wondering your opinion on the different segments (brands) and their push into international markets and BK revamp. Do you think this could be the start of expansion and the bet that Doyle can turn this business around like Dominos? Q: Can you comment on what is going on with the CVE takeover offer, and why there was a last-minute delay that took place yesterday? Was it delayed because there was not enough support? Although I had voted in support of CVE takeover when SCR was also bidding, now that SCR is out, if the vote is close, I would probably vote against CVE so MEG could continue on its own. Any thoughts? Thanks.
