Q: From my previous question, Re: Cramer discussing IPOs last week: it seemed he was suggesting that many tech / growth stocks would be driven down as buyers funded their new ipo positions with previous winners and that this would be a good time to buy growth stocks from this price action.

Your thoughts please.

Thanks

Q: First of all, thank you for all your great advice. It's appreciated.
I'm interested in ideas for some good stocks involved in "data protection," please. Basically cyber security I guess, but more specifically the protection of what the everyday individual does on the internet, social media, etc (ie: your personal data) from being collected and used by Facebook, Google, Apple, Amazon, etc, etc, etc.
If you have a differing opinion please feel free to express it, but my thought would be that what is done with our personal data and all the compounding issues that tie into this theme are a societal issue that will hopefully get a lot of attention in the coming years.. decades..
Thank you.

Q: I just retired with no pension and living off my portfolio. I’m sitting on a lot of cash right now with very little US investments. I would like to start buying slowly. What would you suggest. Preferably ETF’s listed on the TSX with the odd US stock. Thanks

Q: Dear 5i,

Re Peter's article in the Financial Post article Sept. 17;
A comment was made about how an individual investor might
make a simple structured investment product using T-bills and call options. This interests me and I would like to learn more about how to do this and the risk and return behind this strategy. Can you please suggest some good reading material.

thanks
Ian
