Q: What do you know of XBC's management? How would you rate them, both excluding what is happening now and including current affairs?
In your report on the company in December 2020, you state:
Management is well-seasoned and has public company experience, including former top executives (CEO, CFO, COO) of various energy and industrial companies like CAE Inc (CAE) and McPhy Energy North America. Have they ever experienced anything like what they are going through with XBC now? How important is the involvement of CDPQ who invested $50M?
5i advanced XBC as a top growth company, as recently as March 10. Your report outlines your reasoning back in 2020. Obviously it's a different picture today. Any lessons learned?

Q: How would you expect the healthcare sector to perform in inflationary times?
Q: How likely is is that the Feds permit the merger of Rogers and Shaw but then allow foreign ownership of telecoms in Canada. If so, which of the two, Telus or Bell, is likely to be bought out? Even if they are not bought out, Bell and Telus might still do better with less competition. Or the Feds may impose conditions on the merger that benefit BCE and Telus. In any event, I am not sure there is any downside to owning Bell or Telus, and the real possibility of capital appreciation. I leave out Cogeco in my analysis as the controlling family appears not interested in a takeover.

Q: Hi, before you mentioned that we should keep small cap positions to around 3%. Ahead of WELL earnings, my WELL position is closing in on 5%. Is this reasonable or too aggressive? I can handle some volatility and I am a long term growth investor. I see in your growth portfolio WELL is over 5% now. Would you look to trim back to around 3% or maintain the 5% position? Thanks!

Q: hello 5i:
We hold AQN and BIP.UN in the utilities space and I'd like to increase by either adding to an existing position or initiating a new position. We also hold BAM.A, so indirect exposure to BEP.UN. Using safety and valuation as the primary metrics, can you rank the stocks above?
thanks
Paul L

Q: Hi,
I own TDOC and there is much "noise" today about Amazon entering the telehealth space and its all doom and gloom for TDOC.
I thought this news was actually "old news" in the sense that we did anticipate this was going to happen.
In your opinion, does this move by Amazon fundamentally change anything for TDOC?
Thanks,

Q: Hello Peter,
I have partial positions in AVLR and DXCM and have been considering AFRM and CRNC.
I think that the potential for CRNC is further on the time frame, while AFRM has to demonstrate its growth potential in the next couple of quarters. Dexcom has to confirm its growth whereas AVLR has to demonstrate that it can still grow to justify the valuation. What do you think?
Now I cannot own everything that is of interest and would like your opinion on whether I should in my portfolio have a full position in one of them or partial positions in two. And which one, or two would you suggest?
Regards
Rajiv

Q: I see the weighted average duration of ZAG is 7.93 years. Does that mean for every 1 % increase in interest rates the price will fall by 7.93%. If so I feel I should get out of ZAG with anticipation of increasing interest rates.
