Q: Hello 5i,
I am looking at adding either Boyd Group Services (BYD) or WSP Global (WSP) for a 3-5 year investment in my TFSA. If you were to choose, which one would be your preference at this time. As always I appreciate your feedback. Thx.

Q: Hello 5i,
I have two questions pertaining to the spin-out:
1. Would I be correct in assuming that if held in an RRSP, there would be NO tax implications at all?
2. When typing in VTRS, I see a second option showing up: VTRSV. What, if any, is the difference? My broker recorded the transaction as VTRS and so that is what I use.
Many thanks, as always!!
Stay safe and well!!
Cheers,
Mike

Q: I understand that you are generally not in favour of averaging down.
How do you feel about averaging up ?
I am interested in any conflicting similarities of reasoning.
Many Thanks

Q: Hi. I follow your Canadian balanced portfolio and have all the above industrials except XBC. Following your advice to not to add to losers SIS has become my smallest holding at 2%. I have had it for over 3 years so not really down when considering the dividend. My though is possibly replacing it with XBC. Your insight would be appreciated. Is SIS just out of favor and XBC overpriced. Or does XBC just have so much more potential?
Q: I own a number of Canadian dividend paying companies (ENB, TD, BCE, CNR, CM, SLF) in a taxable account. Is there a downside to "journaling" these stocks to the US side in order to be paid these dividends in US dollars? It would allow me to reinvest in other US listed companies without having to exchange money.
Q: What is " The Team's " opinion of Palantir? Is it a buy here? Thanks.
Q: would any of you happen to know who the main refiners are of jet fuel whose share price has been decimated but could rebound if the jets and planes start suddenly flying again in a year or two . Thanks a lot.
Q: Can I please get your opinion of Pizza Pizza (PZA). Thanks

Q: Is KT Corporation a good long term hold? This stock doesn’t seem to have momentum in its favour.
Q: Which vaccine company if any would you recommend to invest in?
Q: Hi,
I own REAL. I rode the stock up all the way to $33 and watched it get "killed" on Friday (20 Nov), when it was down almost 16%. I am not day trading the stock though.
I didn't see anything that is sinister in the financials for the quarter that was reported on. Company looked like it was growing well.
I am now "under water" with my holding and I was looking at maybe buying some more as I consider the stock to be on sale.
What is your take on it?
Thanks,

Q: Good Morning
How would you compare Leon’s and Park Lawn. I had purchased both around the same time and currently Leon’s has far out performed. Would you consider a clean up trade selling PLC and buying more LNF at this time?(Portfolio weight not a concern). Or would you give PLC more time?
Thank you

Q: Hi 5I team.
My question is about healthcare and diversification in the space. I have been attempting to keep my position around the 16% portfolio weighting and currently hold ABBV, AMD, AMGN(4.8%), LLY(3%), PFE, MRNA, and WELL positions. Although I do not want to abandon the PFE/MRNA freight trains, I am looking at adding/shifting to what may be a longer term/higher dividend return avenue with the use of GILD(attractive entry and solid div), CRISPR(awaiting a pull back to $90 if it comes), and even MDT(under $103 if it comes)
How do you feel about this strategy and the switch out of AMGN/LLY to GILD/MDT?
Thank you
Peter

Q: Any sign of decent fundamentals/future prospects for Westport or does it remain a periodic s/t trade?
Q: Why do you like both FTS & AQN?
Does a raise in interest rates kill this sector?
Would you agree that FTS has a PE of 20 compared to a PE of 30 for AQN?
Would you also agree that a large BAM position allows you to participate in BEP without investing directly in the stock?
Thank you,
Nick

Q: UGE appears to be doing better, any comments on the company? Vic
Q: Hello, Would love to see more info on Palantir as part of investor suite if possible. Made an initial small investment which doubled. Have since made an additional double that investment at just under $18. Still less than half position. I would like to go to a full position if recommended. Thanks.

Shyam
