Q: Happy new year!
A general question. I'm keeping 15% cash in my TFSA. I'd like to spend them whenever the market drops. However they don't generate interest. I'm wondering if there are anything such as bonds that gives me daily interest, or at least short term interest. If so could you suggest what bonds would be a great buy.
Thanks!

Q: Hello
This year, I plan to purchase an emerging market ETF (thank you for the suggestion) for my and my husband's TFSA. My question is - should I put most of the funds in a few lump sums or monthly over a year? Emerging markets seem undervalued compared to other markets and this fund has been steadily increasing which makes me think it will steadily increase over the year.
thanks

Q: I am trying to find the relative valuation of this ETF to its past. It appears to have a PE of about 24. Maybe you see something different. I would assume it is expensive. The holdings consist of very large, high quality companies - a lot of "go-to names". Is there a site or any resource where I can compare today's valuation to other years ? I'm one who hates over-paying for an investment.

Q: May I please have the names of 4 or five junior copper producers that have growth potential and are located in relatively safe jurisdictions?

Q: Back on Nov 11, a question was asked which 5 etf’s you would choose for a well diversified portfolio. Do you think this would provide enough diversification or would you rather choose a specific fund(s) for each sector if given the choice? Assuming the answer is yes, which etf’s would you choose today? Thanks for your sage advice!

Q: Thank you for the great service. I was wondering in the HOT space of EV's are there any standout companies either producing a vehicle you like as an investment or an infrastructure play for charging stations or battery production? I have listed some of the companies I have on a list but I own nothing in this space... Really wishing I had bought Tesla 10 years ago when first looking at it... As they say could of would of should Have. I try never to look back but sometimes it is tough LOL

Q: I made a typo on a direct investing account and bought Alaris in ERR. I left the holding as was. Now, a few weeks later, I fell off my chair when I saw it has only 16 employees. Do you know anything about management’s ability and track record? I like the business model but wonder if the tiny team is such that it loves the thrill of risk so much that it gets drunk on it. ( I have known such teams at startups I bought in private placements. I have paid dearly for my lack of innoculation-- <shudder> ).

Q: My question is about BNSand SHOP which are both in your balanced portfolio.
SHOP trades much more in the US than Canada (1.5M to .2M).

On the other hand BNS trades much more in Canada than US (4.5M compared
to .3M).
Why are some inter-listed stocks trade more on one exchange than the other?

Is it because SHOP has issued more shares on the US side compared with BNS to account for this?
Thanks

Q: Hi, My respected 5i team
I bought these stocks back in March or April 2020 during the market correction, thanks for your recommendation!
Right now, the upward momentum of these high tech stocks are diminishing and their valuations seems high.
What is your opinion about the valuations here, are they over valued too much? I'm worried about the "tech bubble" happens again. Should I sell them now or under what condition you suggest that I should sell ?
