Q: Hi 5i, I've seen a recently viral clip going around social media of a TV showing you which shoes an NBA player is wearing in real time while also giving you the option to purchase them. This seems like an incredibly powerful interface to drive consumer spending that can certainly be expanded to almost any visible entertainment platform. Is this along the same lines of Shopify? If not, I'm wondering if you know of any frontrunners in this space that would be worth taking a position.

Q: Hello,
I am nearing retirement. I have CBO, CPD, VAB and XHY at 20% of my fixed income portfolio. All these ETF's exist in my unregistered account. I wanted to add XBB in my RRSP account. Any concerns about too much overlap by adding this position? This will add 7% to my fixed income position. Portfolio analytics recommends a 30% position.

Q: I recently asked about TAN and thanks for the reply. I understand that you think the sector still has legs. I realize (as you say) one stock will carry much more risk than an ETF but I am seriously thinking of switching from TAN to PLUG. What are your thoughts on this move and your current thoughts on PLUG? Does anything better in the sector draw your attention? Thanks as always.
After thought question: Or just say ... you can't lose with GOOG and go with that?

Q: I have a 2% holding in NGD, and it has performed decently, but I was wondering if you could share your thoughts regarding selling this position and replacing it with EQX. Q: Thank you for the reply to my recent question. Unfortunately the question pertained to the 5i balanced etf portfolio not the balanced equity portfolio. May I please have to top five etf positions to add new money at this time.

Q: Hello 5i
My wife and I have been going through papers of her long deceased parents and came upon old stock certificates for Anacon Lead Mines Limited (1957). They appear to be registered in the name of a Montreal law firm. (I don't know if that complicates things further) I would like to research the stock to see if the certificates have any value or are just wallpaper. Do you have any information on this company or can you direct me to a source that might help in my research?

Q: I am currently over-weight in Financials (more than 50%) in my portfolio. I am in the process of slowly re-balancing by first of all moving some $$ into Utilities & Telecommunications. What would be a reasonable % of portfolio for an average investor to have in Utilities & Telecommunications?
