Q: Hello. I know a lot of investors are looking for at least some portion of their portfolios to be in relatively safe income returns (and typically correspondingly little growth). As you have stated many times bank accounts, CD's etc offer pretty low rates although very safe. One other alternative that is available is the use of "stablecoins" deposited with larger exchanges like BlockFi where they offer up to around 9.5% if you deposit your coins like Tether (USDT) or USD Coin (USDC). I know you are not historically fans of the crypto space due to the volatility but the stablecoins do offer a relatively safe option and for anyone who is comfortable with the crypto arena it is a good return. Not everyone's cup of tea of course but just thought I would throw that out. Any thoughts/comments from the team would be welcome.

Q: Have had BEP.UN for a couple of years and did sell off some for a profit however I am now down 23% on 400 shares and wondering your thoughts on if I should close my eyes and sell or hang onto it. I am 71 and like growth stocks as I seem to make more money that way but without ridiculous risk. Can you suggest anything if I do sell.
Q: hi Team!

Q: Concerning tfii question of John the 7th june, i think it is due to a downgrade from BMO : https://www.lapresse.ca/affaires/entreprises/2021-06-06/l-investisseur-avise/une-premiere-chez-goodfood.php
I did a quick google translate on tfi section ;
Up about 75% year-to-date, TFI lost support from BMO this week. Analyst Fadi Chamoun on Monday withdrew his recommendation to buy the stock in Montreal-based trucking company formerly known as TransForce. The upside potential is limited, he said, although future results could be wow. "Much of it is already discounted at the current price," he believes.

Q: I am wondering if you have any idea what is going on with Keyera, it is up about 30% in the last 6 weeks or so, and does not seem to be stopping. Would the idea that IPL is in play maybe have someone looking at Keyera as the next possible take out. Would someone with very deep pockets be acquiring shares, possibly a Brookfield entity, thinking if they lose IPL to PPL, they would go after Keyera. I am not complaining, but I have just had to trim my position, and it has been top of mind for a week or so now.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: There have always been comparisons btw Lspd and Shop. Now with the recent acquisition Lspd is truly competing head on with shop, at least in certain industries. Do you think shop would buy them at some point?
Q: What are your thoughts on BRAG and SCORE now? Is it a buy or wait it out? SCR seems to be turning around from speculation that the betting bill would move through the senate before summer. But not for BRAG. Any ideas why BRAG keeps dropping? Is it a buy for either stocks at this point?

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. Class A Preference Shares Series 2 (BAM.PR.B)
-
Enbridge Inc. cumulative redeemable preference shares series H (ENB.PR.H)
Q: I'm not really a preferred share investor because I don't really understand the various nuances of them. I understand the difference between perpetual, reset, etc but not the finer points.... And I only bought them because no one knew what was going to happen with the Covid crash and I happened to be 30% in cash ..... My reasoning was if the blue chips can't cover their preferred dividends it's the end of the world and I may as well head down to the harbour, steal a tugboat { I'm a retired tugboater } a barge full of beer and head north with a fishing pole ..... My preferreds have returned 70% plus dividends for me and I am thinking of exiting . My problem is they keep rising and I don't understand why . BAM.PR.B was over $18 in 2018 and currently yields 3.1% at a considerably lower price ..... ENB.PR.H is not nearly as far off of it's 2018 price so I'm guessing there are differences between the two in spite of the fact they are both " resets " ..... I'm planning on selling both but there is no rush . So the question is why the rise ? Is there current potential to for BAM.PR.B to return to 2018 prices or even rise more at all ? ......And why is there so much of a difference in 2018 to today's prices between the two preferreds ?
Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, I know it's speculating and you can't read the future but do you see further upside on these two and if so how much more and is there a point when you would sell. Thanks, Nick
Q: I research info south of the border and have found some small momentum stocks: HITI-CA (High Tide), MILE-Q (Metromile - insurance business), CERC-Q (Cerecor - medical) which the CEO and Senior Officers are from Celgenc and these stocks are fast moving to the upside. Your opinion? I checked and none of them can be found in your search engine. Thanks again.
Q: Happy Friday. Have some cash in my TFSA and would like to purchase either Topicus or Lightspeed for maximum growth.
Which would be your preference?

Q: HI Gang
I have a happy problem....BNTX is growing exponentially. I sold some of my shares one month ago and cannot decide whether I should shave a few more off. My weighting is 2.85% again. (But I have 65 stocks - still trying to reduce this). If I were to own only 25 or so stocks my weighting would be over 8%. How should I think of proceeding?
Thank you and stay safe...we are hopefully closing in on the finish line.

Q: Further to my earlier question about ROC in a registered account, the last paragraph of your reply seems to suggest that there is some value of this payment in a registered account but I don't see it. The ROC simply reduces the base cost but this has no meaning in a registered account as it is not used when an equity is sold. ROC payments can be substantial and it is a shame to lose them.
Q: Between NVEI and TOI which one do you favour and why?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Any news to explain the 5% drop today? I don't see any news,
Q: An Analyst today says time to sell MG while you can. I realize that recommendation to sell and buy are what makes a market. Maybe trying to drive market down for an opportunity to buy.
