Q: I am really not following the US market --but I would like to take a look at 3 or 4 of so called green energy producers in the US.
Can you make some suggestions ?--Been a subscriber for many years and glad of it
Thanks
Peter

Q: Good afternoon 5i,

As a more conservative investor but looking for growth. Volatility no problem and some risk ok.
I don't view these in the same light. 22 year time frame.
I have anchored my portfolio TFSA / RRSP with ETF'S.
VTI, QQQ, XIT, VEE
The TSX are blue-chip dividend stocks for added
stability and ATD.B, BAM.A, GSY, KXS
Could you please rate my prospective ETF'S. Which would you invest in for this time frame and much needed boost for my portfolio. Or one that I missed?

ARKK, SKYY, CLOU, SOXX, SMH, QQQJ

Thank you very much.

Q: What do you think of Good Year tires? How are they valued versus peers (and what metrics are best?) and are there any alternative better tire companies in the US or Canada?

Electric cars burn through tires way faster than regular cars - everyone seems to be thinking about EV companies and the batteries - what do you think of the long-term tire play?

Q: Hi happy sunday. I own some gbr, it has about 200 km2 staked near Red Lake, has just done a private placement, planned at $30 M, oversubscribed, took in $70M, will have about $100M in the bank as of month end. No RE yet, covering analysts opine gbr will trade at $25 roughly next year, Cormark, PI, Cannacord, and some others. Lots og gold, game plan of gbr is to prove up an area called Dixie, sell it, keep the balance of their claims, carry on with the rest. trading at $14, is about 15% of my holdings. Hope is that sale occurs in next 12 months at about $80/sh. should I hang in there, thoughts?

Q: I've owned ENGH for over a year and disappointed at its lack of traction. Would you do a flip of ENGH (closed at $61.85 as of 1/26) for NVEI (closed at $68.26 as of the same day) as a better name for a long term hold? If not NVEI can you recommend other names. Thanks.

Q: In researching the recent Gamestop madness, I have read that many of the shorts will expire on Friday. Given that the shorting hedge funds have been doubling down on their positions:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/citadel-point72-to-invest-2-75-billion-into-melvin-capital-management-11611604340
is there any possibility that there is a cascading effect of hedge funds potentially getting liquidated? I know that speculating in this matter is akin to mental gymnastics, but I think that the GME holders are here to prove a point about the shady dealings on Wall Street. Is it possible that a showdown between greedy hedge funds and Robinhood/Reddit millenials leads to a wider market shock?
