Q: Hi, PBX has already exceeded their total 2020 gross sales by 21% this year. The numbers seem good but can you comment on their tact on communicating their gross sales rather than net sales as a key performance indicator.

Q: How do big block trades work?
You mentioned yesterday LSPD's SP dropped almost 6% likely due to a 3 million share+ block trade, while Friday's total volume traded was only 1.3 million shares. If so, can we expect another sell down on Monday until that 3 million share+ block is totally "consumed"? It seems the large portfolio managers are manipulating SPs, at the expense of the retails, to get their privately negotiated deals done (by suppressing SP to the deal's level). Where is the regulatory agency's protection for all investors in this regard. My "paper loss" was about 17% on LSPD from yesterday. Please help me in understanding this process better. Just frustrated. Thanks.

Q: I sent a question regarding selling stocks a couple of days ago approximately about some stocks I wanted an opinion about whether to sell and I have sold a few because they were underperforming on a daily basis. Here are some that I still have and would like your opinion on which ones you would sell: VFF (half of what it was a few months ago), GDNP, CARS (ETF - has a lot of electric car products in it - the market is saturated with these things and it shows in this ETF), CQQQ (China), and XBI (looks like upside down V). Hope to hear from you shortly. Thanks,
Q: What are your thoughts on this company?
Q: Most of the REITs are down today, especially DIR.UN which is down by about 3.5% - a big drop for a REIT. Any reasons? Also, would you flip DIR.UN for SMU.UN, which seems to have more potential down the road than DIR.UN. Thanks.
Q: Peter; My wife and I own smu.un at cost of $7.89- yield is about 3.59 at current price -late 70’s- would you think a switch to the new issue of DIR.UN be advantageous? Big capital gains of course and who knows what the Libs may do . Thanks.Rod
Q: Hello,
I have cash in my RRSP to buy an initial position in one of these companies. Growth focus, with a chance to double the share price in a 5-year timeline approx. Morningstar rates both as "undervalued".
On TOI, on April 1st you mentioned two funds have recently bought-in (Fidelity and Akre). TOI has now run up 20% in the last 3 weeks, ahead of the May 5 call and their first reporting as a public co. It feels like the smart money knows there is good performance coming on TOI, near-term and further out, with its parent company providing support. If you were picking just one of these...

Q: I picked up a full position in KXS at just the wrong time ($190) and am down 17%. I'm wondering about the wisdom of selling and and putting the money into SHOP or LSPD with an eye on a better rebound. I have a 5+ time frame. I know they are different industries I'm just looking within the bounds of the Technology sector.
Would you make the switch or hold on?

Q: Hi 5i
I have a 4% position in ABST and 4% position in SYZ. Looking for both income and growth. I'm considering selling all my ABST and buying more SYZ. (Dividend is higher for the latter) Is there any reason to continue to hold ABST or would the above trade make sense?
Thanks guys
Ken

Q: Hi,
I generally prefer companies that have very little or no long term debt. It just gives me comfort of the ability for the company to survive massive drawdowns in the stock market.
Of the 4 companies listed, are any burdened with a high long term debt load?
Thanks ,

Q: Cleveland Research are cautious on PIN’s March quarter financial results. I am at a break even point and I know the shares have performed well over the last year. Do you advise buy, hold or sell? Do you see a good future for pins?
Q: Can you explain a subscription receipt at $122.45. Does it mean the buyers get shares at that price? Now that the receipts closed, GSY went up to $150. Why? And will it just go right back down?
Thanks for explanation.
Thanks for explanation.
Q: Can you comment on announcement today from AW.UN and what it really means? What impact might it have on the stock?
Q: I would appreciate your opinion on this before I buy. Following is via Seeking Alpha:
SOS is an emerging growth stock with zero debt. Profitable in 2019 and 2020, with approximately $400M cash on the books. In-house R&D is innovating in high-growth tech industries. SOS may deliver multi-year, triple digit growth. Typically, this level of growth has become the domain of private equity in recent years.
THANKS!

Q: I've owned Chartwell for several years. The distributions have increasingly become a Return of Capital with last year's being over 99%. Comment.
Q: In your answer about financial favourites to Jacques (April 16) I assume you meant FSV and not SFC?
Q: Hi,
Is there any news? Why it is dropping sharply?
Thanks,
Milan

Q: Hi
despite some insider selling in a question by someone else in early April
it has taken another jump to new high this am
is there any fundamental reasons for the spike in this stock
I am aware that it is more defensive as consumer staples stock (am I right?)
I have a partial position, time to take profit or add to ? (I broke even a month ago)
thanks to your wisdom
is there an alternate stock (Cdn) you would recommend?
Michael
hold the stock for a few years, able to break even, dividend is nice, though not a high
dividend payer

Q: I read your report on Andrew Peller. What's up with high long term debt and low cash levels reported in the last quarter?
