Q: Hi Folks,
in my RRSP account I have PFE and ABBV - I am thinking of selling some PFE and adding to ABBV to bring each weighing to 10%. Currently 14% and 7%. Would you recommend ABBV over PFE at this time?
Thanks

Q: Hello team ,
I was looking for your thoughts on some of my recent worst performers and what I should do with them . Baba (held in a US cash account ) is down 45% after the Chinese government crackdown . Med (down 21% in US cash account ) after only owning it for a short time . And Mgni is selling off daily for some reason now , even after the strong quarterly results .(still up 20% in rsp) . For each of these how do you recommend them …buy more , hold , sell? If any are sells what would be your recommendation on a replacement ; preferably one with high potential in getting my money back.

Q: Good Afternoon:
Further to Allen's question on the company's valuation post $7.50 dividend, does the market's then valuation of $2.60 per share accurately or fairly value the remaining divisions of the company considering their recent performance and that some debt may be repaid?
In that context, what factors in your mind exist or what positioning or news releases can the company make to mitigate the share price dropping by the amount of the dividend.
Lastly, aside from the direction of the general market in the last week or so, do you see the recent drop in share price as over reaction?
Thank you!
Ian

Q: I have enough money to top up one of my positions and bring it closer to 5%. These are the candidates. I am diversified, but maybe a little tech heavy. I have Topicus at 5% All are in my TFSA, so a growth tilt is appropriate. But I'm stuck in analysis paralysis. Does any one of these jump out at this time as a particularly good candidate to top up. I know you like them all, so I guess it is a bit like picking your favourite child. But go ahead and pick. Your insight will be appreciated, and much better than me flipping a coin.
Q: I am getting close to retirement and have saved sufficient funds for my retirement. I am also expecting an inheritance equal to or greater then my retirement fund. I have always been a do it yourself investor, but at what point should I hire outside advise? And how do I find someone I like.
I have enjoyed your advise and don’t think I’ll find anything significantly better. It also gives me the confidence to keep doing what I am doing. But it is a case of I don’t know what I don’t know. Is there a size of investment portfolio that you feel would benefit from professional advise.

Q: Looking in to your crystal-ball, do you see SYZ's dividend being cut or reduced? I am looking in to the company and know they're trying to transition to a more growth-focused company. Any predictions??
Q: between these 3 pipelines, how would you rank them for adding to my investments, on a capital and dividend increase over time.
Thanks
Thanks

Q: Earlier this year we created an equal weighted 'balanced' portfolio of 30 Canadian companies in a non-registered account. Most were chosen from companies either covered by a 5i research report or included in a 5i model portfolio. The remainder were chosen, based on the 5i Q&A section, from what appear to be 5i sector favourites. All purchases in the portfolio are made with the intent to be long-term holds (10+ years).
Our intent is to increase our investments in the 30 companies over time. We have recently increased our positions in BIPC and MG. At this time we would like to increase our investments in 10 of the remaining 28 companies. The intent is to increase the remaining 18 in approximately 6 months. Which 10 would you add to today? Please rank them, include a small blurb explaining each choice and indicate an approximate buy price. Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter,
If you sell a stock in a TFSA or a RRSP account, you can purchase the same stock in a non-registered account the very next day and do not have to wait for the 30 day rule?

Q: What causes the SP of STLC and LIF to take such a big dive today?
Q: Curious about your thoughts on VZIO as they approach their all-time low. Do you consider the company undervalued at sub $18-$20 per share?
Q: Since the special dividend announcement of $7.50,ECN has dropped to $10.10.Does this mean the market only values the stock at $2.60, post dividend?
Q: Stlc is getting hit again today. Is there a reason for this?

Q: Further to previous questions on BAMR
BAMR has an outline of the characteristics of BAMR which after review makes BAMR different that the previous Brookfield spinouts (i.e. BEPC and BIPC)
https://bamr.brookfield.com/stock-and-distributions/tax-information
BAMR is a Bermuda Corporation, not a Canadian Corporation
BAMR is considered a foreign holding requiring reporting under T-1135
BAMR dividends are NOT Canadian Eligible Dividends
This information was not well presented during the initial spin out and came as a bit of surprise to me after review.
Thanks

Q: Both Sierra and Aura have excellent financials but seem evenly matched on their current “race to the bottom” vis-a-vis their stock price. Would your recommendation be to:
A) sit back and take Aura’s occasional dividend payout
B) sell
C) buy more should the decline finally hit bottom?
Thanks for your perspective.
