Q: I am the owner of SJR,B shares. The news release essentially says Rogers will pay $40.50/share for BOTH the A class shares and the B class shares, which represents a 70% premium for the B shares.

At the time of typing this question Monday morning, the market has the A shares at $40.35 and the B shares at $32.00.

Shouldn't the B shares be at $40 as well, or am I missing something or is the market confused?

Thanks for your help...Steve

Q: you referenced in a previous question that Trading volume and 'travel' is also important. Is there a certain term or way to track "travel" for individual companies stock prices and what do you like to see for "travel" for a daily chart... I am sure straight up is ideal but not what we tend to see.

Q: Haven’t seen a question since January. MDRA looks over sold and the stock has just issued a possible early technical buy signal using scholastics. More importantly this mRNA technology got another “shot in the arm” with the latest data indicting that they may work by STOPPING transmission not just mounting an immune response to decrease the course f the disease while you remain contagious. How well funded is MRNA. How is their free cash flow and their debt load. This technology keeps getting more and more exciting. Malaria, the common cold, HIV, etc!! And if is better maybe even influenza?

Q: good day 5i
Thinking about selling emera, which I will have high capital gains on and buying a renewable energy stock. I already own a full compliment of icln and wondering whether I should buy another renewable? If so, which one? I am selling emera because I suspect the government may impose higher capital gains taxes soon. And also because I think there will be more growth, with of course stability, with renewables. I thought I would pass this idea through your radar to see whether you see it as a worthy idea
Thanks

Q: Investing forums are great places to have a respectful and civil discussion/debate with fellow investors. It’s a resource that seems to be underused by 5i members, possibly because it is difficult to navigate.

Are there any plans to make the 5i Forums more use friendly?

Now a user has to open each subforum to see if anyone has posted or replied to a post.

There is no way of knowing if someone has replied to a post.
It says This forum supports BBCode tags. But only a few. There is no easy way to quote a poster or part of a post so that other posters know who or what you are replying to.

I’m new to 5i so maybe I’m missing something. I’m looking forward to exchanging ideas on investments, investment strategies and portfolio management with other members.
