Q: Good morning,
Two general questions:
1. I am fortunate in that I have now maxed out my TFSA contribution. Could you give me an idea of what sort of investments I should have in a TFSA vs. a cash account?
2. According to portfolio analytics I am underweight in Fixed Equity. Underweight, in that I have none. Could you give some direction as to what to include for the fixed equity portion of a portfolio and provide some suggestions.
Thank you for your help!

Q: We are down 65% with Enerplus. The stock has been in our portfolio a long time. It has recovered some this year and the dividend is over 5%. Should we move on with the partial recovery or is it worth keeping in our portfolio.
Q: What do you think BAM will go to or is a sell. Also is Air Canada still a buy.
Q: From 1985 to 2020, David Swensen headed a team which grew the Yale endowment from $1 billion to $31.2 billion.
What is this growth a result of astute investing or of fundraising or of both investing and fundraising?

On March 18, 2021 "Using safety and valuation as the primary metrics", you ranked these 4 utilities : We would rank: FTS, NPI, AQN, EMA.
You consistently rank EMA at the bottom of the list yet since 2008 the graphs of FTS and EMA are almost exactly the same, both raise their dividends annually and EMA has a higher dividend [4.5% as opposed to 3.7%].
You must see something I am missing. What is the problem with EMA making it so much less desirable than FTS. Please be specific if you can, as this problem has bothered me for a long time. I own 4%EMA and 5%FTS positions in the two and need to add a bit to one. I plan to own these "forever" strictly for income and enough growth to offset inflation.
Thanh you.......... Paul K.

Q: RH Corp is off it's high by ~$130. Has anything changed with the company?
Q: Currently own CNR and am concerned about the KCS merger. Do you think the share price can recover IF the merger is approved? What if its not approved? Some major share holders think that CNR is taking a large risk and are over-paying/ My understanding is this decision could take up to a year to be decided. Would you SELL CNR and move to CP while this sorts out (no impact tax wise) or continue to HOLD until things get a little clearer to shareholders.
Thanks for your thoughts

Q: I read today that there has been recent insider selling of AQN. In particular the Chief Legal Officer, Jennifer Tindale, selling off a large position. Would this concern you? I hold a small loss right now in a rather large position. At current selloff price would this be a buy/sell/hold in your recommendation?
Q: Hi 5i,
I am up 55% on CPX, enjoyed the income however would it be wise to upgrade the overall quality of the investment in utilities to FTS or AQN? Understanding the income would be less but payout ratios look better in FTS or AQN and once interest rates rise the debt burden of CPX might become a issue.

Q: Thoughts about the sell off yesterday and today? Chile tax threat and shift to more copper seem to be driving stock price way down. Good buy opportunity? Momentum was good prior to this week.
Q: I am down 35% on this one so far and need your analysis and thoughts as to its prospects for the next 1-2 years? Do you see any tailwinds coming or should I sell and move on?
Thanx as always

Q: My 50 year young daughter is adding $100,000 to a balanced $1m conservative portfolio. Which 2 or 3 etfs (your suggestion or ours) would you suggest that fit a post pandemic world.
Q: Should I convert my closed end fund QBTC to the etf - BTCQ under the conversion privilege ending May 31?
I see it will be on a NAV to NAV basis but is there any advantage if this is periodically offered? Daily vol on QBTC is higher so is this the better trade?
And what is the current NAV for each?

Q: Hi 5i Team, I'm looking for a couple of suggestions on (very) good, general mutual funds in the mold -- if I can reveal my age -- of Bob Krembil's Trimark Fund in the '90s. Nothing country or sector specific, just a couple of funds that have exceptional management and consistently good returns. My wife has a small amount in a LIRA that warrants one or two mutual funds at the most (I like active management; I'm not a fan of ETF's for the most part). Thank you for your insights, Pete in Calgary.
Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, just noticed my book value for TOI is only the amount of 22 shares or 1671.55 which I bought after receiving the 3 from the spin off, what would be my correct adjusted cost for the total 25 shares, what's the value of the 3 I received. Thanks
