Q: I'm not really a preferred share investor because I don't really understand the various nuances of them. I understand the difference between perpetual, reset, etc but not the finer points.... And I only bought them because no one knew what was going to happen with the Covid crash and I happened to be 30% in cash ..... My reasoning was if the blue chips can't cover their preferred dividends it's the end of the world and I may as well head down to the harbour, steal a tugboat { I'm a retired tugboater } a barge full of beer and head north with a fishing pole ..... My preferreds have returned 70% plus dividends for me and I am thinking of exiting . My problem is they keep rising and I don't understand why . BAM.PR.B was over $18 in 2018 and currently yields 3.1% at a considerably lower price ..... ENB.PR.H is not nearly as far off of it's 2018 price so I'm guessing there are differences between the two in spite of the fact they are both " resets " ..... I'm planning on selling both but there is no rush . So the question is why the rise ? Is there current potential to for BAM.PR.B to return to 2018 prices or even rise more at all ? ......And why is there so much of a difference in 2018 to today's prices between the two preferreds ?
Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, I know it's speculating and you can't read the future but do you see further upside on these two and if so how much more and is there a point when you would sell. Thanks, Nick
Q: I research info south of the border and have found some small momentum stocks: HITI-CA (High Tide), MILE-Q (Metromile - insurance business), CERC-Q (Cerecor - medical) which the CEO and Senior Officers are from Celgenc and these stocks are fast moving to the upside. Your opinion? I checked and none of them can be found in your search engine. Thanks again.
Q: Happy Friday. Have some cash in my TFSA and would like to purchase either Topicus or Lightspeed for maximum growth.
Which would be your preference?

Q: HI Gang
I have a happy problem....BNTX is growing exponentially. I sold some of my shares one month ago and cannot decide whether I should shave a few more off. My weighting is 2.85% again. (But I have 65 stocks - still trying to reduce this). If I were to own only 25 or so stocks my weighting would be over 8%. How should I think of proceeding?
Thank you and stay safe...we are hopefully closing in on the finish line.

Q: Further to my earlier question about ROC in a registered account, the last paragraph of your reply seems to suggest that there is some value of this payment in a registered account but I don't see it. The ROC simply reduces the base cost but this has no meaning in a registered account as it is not used when an equity is sold. ROC payments can be substantial and it is a shame to lose them.
Q: Between NVEI and TOI which one do you favour and why?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Any news to explain the 5% drop today? I don't see any news,
Q: An Analyst today says time to sell MG while you can. I realize that recommendation to sell and buy are what makes a market. Maybe trying to drive market down for an opportunity to buy.

Q: if Canada forges ahead with the idea of E/V autos, what publicly listed power line and infrastructure companies could have they're stock go up significantly to create and beef up current grids that will be required to provide all the extra demand on a daily basis.
- Royal Bank of Canada (RY)
- Toronto-Dominion Bank (The) (TD)
- National Bank of Canada (NA)
- BMO Equal Weight Banks Index ETF (ZEB)
Q: Good morning,
Q1. Is it reasonable to assume that ZEB ETF's total return would be the same as that of holding each of the individual bank stocks in the exact same proportion as in the ZEB ETF minus the MER (0.60%) + or - the tracking error?
Q2. Given, that the relatively high MER (0.60%) of holding ZEB, would it be better over the long run to simply own 2 or three of the best big banks and if so which two or three banks would you recommend buying and holding for ever.

- Tesla Inc. (TSLA)
- Plug Power Inc. (PLUG)
- NIO Inc. American depositary shares each representing one Class A (NIO)
- Enphase Energy Inc. (ENPH)
- Invesco Cleantech ETF (PZD)
Q: Recently PZD - the Invesco Cleantech ETF was changed to ERTH - the Invesco MSCI Sustainable Future ETF. PZD almost all Tech and Industrials whereas ERTH has a similar weighting in Industrials but only 13% tech and a big chunk in real estate. I bought PZD years as more of a growth ETF and it doesn't seem like ERTH can really fill it's shoes. Can you recommend another ETF similar to PZD? This would be a 6% weighting in my portfolio.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Can you comment on their earnings report yesterday? Did you listen to the call and if so was there anything of interest (good or bad) that came up?
I know weightings are personal, but if you were holding DOCU what kind of weighting would you be looking at.
Thanks so much for the fantastic service and recommendation of DOCU at the beginning of the pandemic!

Q: Team, would you suggest buying resource names over energy names right now?
Q: Hi 5i
I'm considering a 5% position in one of these 3 companies as maybe Oil has some room to improve with increased activity.
In what order would you consider these to invest?
Thanks
Ken
