Q: When evaluating a business, how much time would you suggest someone spend on their due diligence? For example, after learning that MRS was added to the 5i portfolio, how much time (ballpark) should someone put into it before initiating a 1-2% position . The reason I ask is because as soon as I hear about a good opportunity, I instantly feel like I am under the gun to make a decision to either buy or move on. I understand this is quite subjective, but I'm curious whether it is 2 hrs, 10 hrs, or 50 hours....
Thanks

Q: In Canada, in addition to the banks' investment departments, there are many brokerage houses, investment firms, etc. that issue stock reports, and price targets for Canadian stocks, companies like Raymond James, Cormark, Haywood, ATB Capital, Eight Capital, Acumen, Canaccord, etc.. Do you consider any of these companies' stock recommendations and price targets to have any value or are they all simply promotional, and supporting companies that they do financings with, or hope to do financings with, or have recommended to their clients? Please indicate which, if any, of these companies you feel are worth paying any attention to.

Q: It seems to me that this is a critical juncture for the growth and development of these two companies, somewhat akin to the number 1 and 2 teams in the Northern Division playing each other in a hockey game. The winner will not only get a win but also deal the loser a loss at the same time. Your thoughts please.

Q: Canadian Natural Gas producers seem wildly undervalued (to me anyway...) Checking my thesis here: Natural Gas netbacks are showing 40% increases over last year, and 2020 was almost 80% higher than 2019. Carbon sequestration makes maximum sense as an alternative revenue stream, and it appears at least one company (AAV) is doing just that. Valuation multiples remain very low (which is fine if one is going to invest) but it remains puzzling to me. Am I missing something? Or are all hydrocarbon stocks being re-rated (lower) due to ESG concerns? Are O&G stocks the new "Tobacco" stocks (this reference may dates me somewhat...) Any high level thoughts here to help me in decision making?

Q: Hi Team,
Over the past four/five years I have benefitted immensely from your guidance on Canadian and US equities. Many thanks for that. I was wondering if you entertain the thought of having US equities portfolios similar to growth/balanced/income for canadian equities.
Thanks

Q: My question is regarding Shopify being down today almost 5% with 6 days to earnings call. The following stocks are in my TFSA, and wondering if you’d consider trimming parts of this portfolio to add to SHOP in a potential great buying opportunity if it keeps dropping post earnings call?

Would you add to another “power house” like NVDA instead ?

Thanks for your insight!
