Q: Is there an ex-Canada ETF "acceptable to 5i Research" similar to VXC, but perhaps a bit less U.S. exposure. I already have IQLT, so I don't need an ETF that is necessarily ex-North America.

Q: Hello, SPRY is a company developing an alternative treatment for anaphylaxis treatment. I am wondering about the team's thoughts on its current valuation and if it seems reasonable given the company's prospects. Also given favorable inflation data continuing, could this small-cap have good price appreciation potential with lowering interest rates?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Is there any updated information on Reliq Health? Is it doomed?
- Suncor Energy Inc. (SU)
- Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNQ)
- Tourmaline Oil Corp. (TOU)

Q: What are your top 3 oil and gas stocks in Canada?
- Mackenzie Maximum Diversification Canada Index ETF (MKC)
- CI MSCI Canada Quality Index Class ETF (FQC)
- First Trust Canadian Capital Strength ETF (FST)
Q: I see CI MSCI Canada Quality Index Class ETF (FQC.TO) is no longer available. This was an ETF that seemed to following 5i's investments strategy. It's replacement CI Canada Quality Dividend Growth Index ETF (DGRC.TO) is very different, with a much different sector allocation.
Is there another Canadian ETF that you would recommend as a replacement for FQC, that is similar to the 5i strategy?
Thank you,
CR

Q: YAMCF is Yamaha and was recommended recently on Market Call. I have been watching and it seems to be doing fairly well. It also has another name YAMHF still representing Yamaha. Can you give me your take on Yamaha. SMR was one you had talked about some time ago and is on my 5i Watchlist. It has dropped off considerably. Would you have an update on it?
Q: What is you opinion on STC update release today? It implies revenue growth is returning for fiscal 2025 (as of July 1) and very low debt leverage less than 1.5 X EBITDA by yearend. Currently trading less than 1x revenues with big free cash flow, it seems like a good buy as new Management continues to execute its turnaround.
- BMO US High Dividend Covered Call ETF (ZWH)
- Brompton Global Dividend Growth ETF (BDIV)
- BMO Global High Dividend Covered Call ETF (ZWG)
Q: hello 5i:
I'm looking for an ETF with attributes similar to ZWH, but with more an international flavour, so not purely a US focus. Suggestions?
thanks

Q: Where would you recommend parking USD and CAD cash while waiting for opportunities to invest? Money market funds?
Q: I’ve seen multiple articles now from some very established sources, stating that we currently do not even come close to producing the amount of copper required to meet the political goals related to the reduction in the reliance on fossil fuels. More mines will be required, but they take decades to construct. In the meantime, will this be beneficial to current producers like Capstone? If so, is Capstone a good company or are there other companies that are better? Thanks

Q: EQX looks to be lagging peers but operations may be improving…opportunity or value trap? Thanks
Q: Is Superior Plus worth holding on to for the dividend as it continues to drop or is it a sell?
Q: Can you tell me if Brookfield has divested of its shares in Superior Plus? I had thought they would have bought them out by now. Also, has Superior Plus cut their dividend. I bought it years ago for the yield but I am down considerably. Would you cut your losses and move on or is it too cheap to sell now.
And if I sell, what to replace it with.

Q: I recently upgraded my subscription and received the Canadian Money Saver magazine subscription, which I'm really enjoying. In the most recent issue there is a page of top US dividends within a certain criteria. I was surprised at the number of funds paying 10% plus divs. I realize that this isn't always a safe investment, but in light of rates falling, I wonder if you have a few suggestions for high dividend paying etf's (US and or Cdn) or REITs that would have capital preservation (generally maintain share price, or increase) as the rates come down, but realize income through the div.
Q: I would appreciate your opinion of the closed-end investment fund Canadian General Investments, trading directly on the TSX. What are the pros and cons of investing in such a fund?
Q: Dear Peter et al:
I know from your answers that you like VRT. I am down by about 8%. Not too worried. Willing to hold on to this.
The question is two fold:
1. I look at Finviz screener (freebie version!) and the Debt: Equity ratio and LT Debt is high? 2.25 it says. What does it mean? Indicates risk?
2. Worth adding to VRT as it has pulled back or do you think there is more downside drift to come given the sector rotation is now firmly in place?
3. Offers a decent premium and to my earlier question sometime ago you had recommended this as a candidate for writing call options. Do you still hold that view?
Many thanks in advance.

Q: Can you please recommend 3 CDN Utility ETFs and 3 US Utility ETFs that will provide in one year 10% yield including both dividends and capital appreciation?
Q: Is it prudent to hold several accounts with X7figures at the same broker, which is not a large bank, but a leading broker in Canada? I know there is an insured amount of 1M.
Having accounts with several of the banks I would like to consolidate, but not take an undue risk. Your thoughts on the matter?
Thank you.
