Q: Blackrock sent a tender offer today: "Option 1: Tender Consideration (USD funds) (Subject to Proration) - To receive 98% of the NAV per share of Blackrock Capital Allocation Term Trust Common Share tendered on pricing date". Or do nothing and hold.

1. The current NAV shows on a 'net search as $17.45; would you expect that to change much from now until the "pricing date"?
2. What is the date for the "pricing date"?
3. Why would Blackrock want to do this?
4. What would you do if you owned shares? Current share price is $16.36;
5. Where can I find the offering circular?

6. Also, my 2 service providers show the yield at 11.5%; the profile on the 5i Market Data shows it at 21%. What do you think it is?

Many thanks for your excellent service.

Q: I wonder if HPS' compensation policy includes SBC annually. If that's the case and we look at the stock's performance over the past 3 years, the stock was $12. in 2022. If the options are vested after 3 years as is often the case or worse if vested 5 years is'nt there a danger of putting a lid on the stock price until the options are totally vested and cashed? I'm worried that the money invested in the past year will be dead money no matter what PE shows. Right or wrong?

Q: Hi Peter..,may I have your thoughts FNM and their relationship with AEM? It looks like AEM is going to purchase 13% of FNM with the money going to in turn fund the purchase of some land and this year’s development work. I suppose $8 million is not a huge sum for AEM. Would you characterize FNM as your proverbial lottery ticket or is it a small step better?
Any comments you have would be appreciated. I don’t own the stock as, I suppose, I don’t have the same level of confidence that AEM appears to have.

Q: ENERGY SECCTOR; Some analysts are predicting $40 oil should Trump become president while others say you can’t base portfolio changes on who might become president. I am overweight energy and for the most part like things as they are …. And given the fact that a lot of what happens on the markets is based on guesses about the future with varying degrees of sophistication, I am prepared to modify my energy position.
I would appreciate 5i’s opinion on. The likelihood of $40 oil should Trump win but I believe he will strengthen the market in other ways.

So do you believe $40 oil is likely?
Would it drag down oil company share prices significantly? Could you predict some of the parameters?
Any other thoughts that might be pertinent to my thought process?

Thank you.
