Q: Hi,

Finally some good news re. Noront! Although Doug Ford never jumped on a bulldozer as promised, some long awaited interest in the Ring of Fire. Just wondering what you would suggest investors do in these situations; trading right around takeover price ($0.55) but it seems to me that mostly upside from here so better to hang on.

Thanks,

Steven

Q: Do you know management's financial predictions for the upcoming quarter? I believe the numbers are to be released next Tuesday August 3rd. I'm a shareholder and am in a minor loss position. I need to take more money out my RIF but thinking of waiting until after the release of numbers before deciding wether to sell or hold NVTA. I prefer companies with sterling managers and missing 8 quarters is disconcerting. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

Q: Can you speak to the class-action lawsuit filed against Coinbase?

What do you think of the future prospects for Coinbase? Their fees appear high relative to the competition, and the threat of commission free (or low fee) crypto exchanges looms large. Competitors, such as Kraken, are preparing to follow suit and go public. Is the Coinbase business model and continued growth rate sustainable?

Q: I have had CQQQ for quite some time and it has probably been cut in half over the last year and a half and continues to underperform.

XBI has a similar pattern to CQQQ (not quite as bad).

The stocks SEDG and APPS are underperforming the market quite a bit. I have all 4. Which ones would you be getting rid of? I usually wait for an uptick to get rid of securities but with CQQQ and XBI that doesn't seem to happen. When you get rid of stocks do you wait for an uptick or just get rid of them? Your help is appreciated as usual.

Q: Greetings - A few questions on JEPI - first in reviewing its 100 or so holdings the first several are equity linked notes - what are they, do they help returns versus individual equities and if so how - second, is this fund "better" than the BMO series of covered call more specific ETF's since the returns since this ETF began seem better with less movement to the downside - third there seems to be significant rotation every few months of approximately 15% of the holdings so that an active management component appears at play - any comment you have on this and the reputation of the listed managers - fourth is there another similar US or Cdn ETF that is comparable without a covered call strategy that you'd recommend with as diversified a set of holdings - any further issues you wish to comment on of course are appreciated - many thanks - Ken

Q: Regarding Austin's question on CNBC, since NBC has the Olympic rights only in the U.S., and needing to maximize their coverage as much as possible across all their platforms, they unfortunately have to block access to anyone outside the U.S. until the Olympics are over. While very disappointing, CNBC does make many of their popular shows, such as Halftime and Fast Money, available on podcast a couple hours after they originally air. There is a benefit to listening via podcast: it's commercial-free.

Q: This stock has dropped 35% since the beginning of 2021. Could you please comment on it's profitability, if it has overcome some or most of its production problems and whether the current crackdown on Chinese firms listed overseas will cause a big drop in the share price. Would you hold onto the company under these circumstances?
Many thanks for your great advice.

Q: Hello,
I was lucky enough to invest in NVIDIA 3-4 years ago but it has grown to around 15% of my portfolio. I’m considering trimming it to 6-7%. I want to replace with other companies in the tech sector, which ones would you recommend for a 10+ year hold? My only other tech holding is Kinaxis.
Thank you for your help.

Q: Could you please rank SQ, NVEI, PYPL and V for a growth investor with moderate risk tolerance and a time-frame of at least 5 years. Please add other suggestions that fits the theme. LSPD is already owned. The reasons for your top two choices would be appreciated. Thanks.
