Q: Interesting question on PKO recently. Is there a comparable fund in Canada? Also, if I were to buy the fund, what factors might cause it to lose money? In other words, what danger signs should I watch for?

Q: Hi team,

What are your thoughts on the potential in emerging markets right now ? For new capital added to a portfolio between HXEM and XIT - Which would you view as better value right now? Both positions are core and added to over time.

Thanks

Q: Since the beginning of this year, I can think of 3 companies that were able to list on the TSX with a very limited float of shares available. Examples: DRDR, FDGE, MAGT. Even a few shares can move the share prices quite a bit, both up and down. How is it that the TSX has allowed these limited shares to be accepted and listed there. What are the listing rules generally for these type of cos. Thanks

Q: Hello 5i,
I made a mistake of not investing in AMD with a proper weight this stock deserved (with all the new chips). So now what to do? How do you view AMD's future?
SOXX 1.75%, Q 2%, UCTT 2%, AMD 1%, ICHAR 0.5%
My end goal is to fold individual stocks into SOXX eventually but perhaps AMD deserves an increase in its weight to 3% given the momentum?

Q: XBC, REAL, PRN and QST, are down significantly this year. At current valuations, are these a Buy, Hold or Sell. If buying, what would you guess might be a good entry point for each.
Thank you!!

Q: Just trying to clarify post split prices and dividend numbers on various sites.
For ex., CP was $11.66 on 22Jun2011 and paid a dividend of 0.06 per quarter.
On the 14May21 CP split 5:1 so you got 5 shares for each one you previously held.
Charts, TD webbroker for example, show no change in either the price nor dividend amount pre and post split. So one assumes they have adjusted the pre split prices by dividing by 5 back to the beginning of the chart?
The annual dividend about is now $0.19/qtr or 0.76 annually. If one held CP prior to the split, his total dividend would then be 5 X 0.76 or $3.80 annually?
The dividend value indicated on 22Jun2011 of $0.06 would not need to be adjusted as the dividend per share went from $0.06 to $0.19 over the total period?
Tx.

Q: Good Morning: I own some shares of ppl.pr.e and am thinking that I would like to sell them and buy ppl. At the moment the yield on ppl is actually higher than that for the preferred. Granted that the preferred offers, theoretically, more security, while the common shares offer more opportunity for share price growth, do you have an opinion on a course of action here. What is your opinion on ppl at the moment. As always, thanks.

Q: Hi team. Two of my most "unsure" holdings are pltr and mgni. I was wondering how you feel about these long term. Would you continue to hold them? I was considering adding to TOI with the proceeds if I were to sell one, or both of them. What would be your suggestion for the long term here? Or is there any other of your absolute favourites at the moment that I should be buying today instead of holding pltr and mgni? Note that I already own TTD (same sector as mgni). Thanks for your input.
