Q: In my cash non registered account I bought LSPD shares at $115.00 they have since dropped in half. Do you think I should sell for a tax loss? What date do I have to sell to claim the loss? Do you still see LSPD as a growth company and see the share price doubling in the next 4 years? Thank you

Q: Please list 3or4 small cap precious metal companies that have a lot of potential.Thanks.
Q: In your answer to Rob today you state 'we don't think the company has really done anything 'wrong'.'
You've looked closely at the report and earnings now. What do you 'really' think the company did? Please speculate on what you feel went wrong. If the short report wasn't completely false, what did it maybe get right? Were mistakes made through omission? Were they simply growing too fast or playing a little fast and loose with the rules? No doubt there is a trade here but is this a company and management that you still have the same long term respect and confidence in as 6 months ago?
A past short report on SHOP has been mentioned on several occasions as a comparison. Did the management at SHOP make similar mistakes, if any, and is this par for the course? Or is this situation with LSPD different?
thanks, Mark

Q: Do you think that Nasdaq stocks are now more attractive as a result of the steep drop in U.S bond yields.
Q: Hi 5i Team - I appreciated your detailed response to my question on this company back in August. Last week Orogen stock had quite a move upwards with some backtracking since. Just wondering if there is any news accounting for the run-up and if it is worth continuing to hold for a three year time horizon. Thanks.
Q: Do you know of any 2021 Flow Through LP or funds that are still open for 2021? Or is it too late? Looking for strategies to reduce tax on large capital gains this year. Any other ideas?

Q: Earlier this year I transferred my Magna shares from my non registered Canadian Account to my non registered US account in order to avoid money exchange charges. I am interested in selling the shares and would like to know if the same shares can be sold through my US account so I can use the US funds to purchase some beaten up ADSK and CRM shares this month.
Thanks for all the support in 2021.

Q: Hi Team,
My stock portfolio has dropped a gut wrenching 12% just this week alone, and 27% since august. All while the index's are near highs. I am aware most my stock holdings are aggressive tech names, but I am confident they are all best in breed names. I hold many of 5i US tech name favorites as well as some cnd. Its's a bloodbath like I haven't seen since the initial sell off when covid hit. At that time, I remember 5i came out with a very good "near bottom" report advising subscribers the end may be "near". As I recall it was very close! Thank you for that! What I am asking now is...will you issue such a report when the time comes as to when to potentially add to high growth tech names that have been crushed on no merritt of their own? Or can you say now if that time is near? And what stocks, either US or Cnd would you be adding to for 5yr plus holds that have the potential to make an exceptional recovery? I know this is a crystal ball question but your track record is good in my eyes! Thanks for your service. Look forward to some "calming" advice.

Q: I have been watching KraneShares Global Carbon ETF for a while now as an interesting investment with no correlation to the general market. It seems to do nothing but go up regardless of markets. I have been waiting for even a slight pullback that never seems to materialize and if I buy in at this point I feel like I would simply be chasing the hot money. Do you view this ETF appropriate for a long term hold or is it more for trading? How closely does it track the actual cost of carbon credits and does this correlation decay over time? Can it trade at a large premium or discount to the underlying moves in the cost of credits? I would really like a better understanding of this fund. Your thought and advice. Thanks.
Q: I was going to sell 2 energy stocks . I am underweight in industrials, materials consumer discretionary and consumer staples.
Could you recommend your top two Canadian companies in each sector for growth.
On the other hand would it be just as well or would you favour Canadian ETF for each sector and could you list your favorite for each sector?
Thanks
Jeff

AltaGas Ltd. cumulative redeemable 5-year rate reset preferred shares series K (ALA.PR.K)
-
Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. Class A Preferred Limited Partnership Units Series 7 (BIP.PR.D)
Q: Good morning,
I have noticed that my holdings in the above shares have declined to about the issue price of $25 in the last couple of weeks. I understand that BIP.PR.D is due to reset in January 2022 and ALA.PR.K in February. The price movement suggests to me that the companies plan to recall these shares but I haven't found any statements that they intend do so. It would make sense if they did as they will otherwise have to continue to pay a 5% dividend for the next five years. Do you have any information on this? I'm thinking that if I can buy more shares at $25 or less I will get one dividend and then a return of my $25 or I will continue to get 5% on those shares for the next 5 years.

Q: Square is dropping fast, is there a major reason?
Q: A 60 % move on one contract announcement! For the stubborn investor like me that held on, is this the catalyst for a turn around? Thoughts please moving forward.

Q: Hi Team,
On your response to M Atal today, I am concern by
"The main issue is the tax deferral set up". ?
Horizons has already had to change its structure to adapt to new tax regulations. Horizon clients knows that, I had HXT & HXCN before the change structure. The change structure was made smoothly.
Can you develop "The main Issue" ? Do you mean Horizon will not be able to maintain the TRI structure in future ?
I like TRI structure for deferred gains.
Thanks
Best Regards
