Q: Hi 5i Team: I am 8% weighting in Canadian tech with positions in LSPD and TOI. I am looking to add from DSG, ENGH, OTEX or KXS. In which order would you rank them for long term growth? Thank you for your continued excellent service.

Q: You have commented that some sort of position in gold is probably a good idea, akin to having some insurance in the event of a significant economic upheaval. Would you want to have HGY or HUG for this purpose?
Can you provide some analysis about them?
They started over 10 years ago, yet has a market cap of $67 and $57 million million. Why have they not grown?
Is its average volume of 16,000 and 3,000,. is there a concern with liquidity?
Last, BMO Investorline indicates a yield over 6% for HGY. Is any of this return of capital?
thank you for your excellent service

Q: Good morning team. I recently exited ATVI with all the sexual harassment allegations directed at the management. Didn’t sit well with me from an ethnical point of view. I did however do well with the stock. Wondering if you could suggest a couple of comparable companies to replace it. I do like the space. Thanks. Happy long weekend.

Q: Over the next few months, I plan to buy the 5 stocks listed. Not sure if there is a preferred order of purchase. This will be in a non-registered investment account, where dividend accumulation and safety of principal are the main goals. Buy and hold forever. I keep all of my growth stocks in my TFSA, and I have most of those recommended by 5i. Could you please recommend an ordered sequence for purchase of these 5? (If you see one.) Thank you for continued great service.

Q: Brookfield Office was taken in by Property Partners and now both have been taken private by Brookfield Asset Mgt.

You once wrote these shares are not the best choice as the office market was in difficult times....not unlike today as Covid Delta comes on.

If BAM has taken the real estate private, does the risk of default not get reduced? Making these prefs a reasonable buy below $25, Min Reset ( 5.10%) with a current yield above 5.10%?

How likely is it that Brookfield parent would let a Sub default on payments?

Q: Bought CU over CPX because of long history and large capital program to move CPX off coal.
Surprised Alberta power rates are good given their economy is languishing. Which do you see as the better option going forward for steady income and likely dividend increases above inflation rate (unlike CU of late)? Thanks.

Q: thanks for Thursday's Market Update...the narrative and charts put reduced tapering with interest rate increases clearly in front of me...and now is making me wonder, especially about a possible window of opportunity later in the year, if I should wait until later to top up to full positions in ISRG and SYK, both heath care US stocks in a LIRA and to be held for the long-term, or do it now....what would you suggest I do or consider?.....oh, the funds used would move health care closer to the Portfolio Analytic target for this sector........thanks for the insights....Tom
