Q: Kinross has offered $29/share as a buyout, vote is February 14 2022. Is it accurate to assume that if this offer is rejected, and there are no ther offers, that the share price would drift back to the teens?
Should I hold my 15,000 shares until closer to the vote date of February 14 2022 to see if another offer emerges, any risks with that idea?

Q: I have had RBF7280 for a long time, since it was a PH&N Fund. Its MER is 1.43 and yield is 3.43. Would XHY be a proxy for it at a higher yield and lower MER?
If not, is there a different ETF that I could replace 7280 with?
Thanks for all you do. I sleep better during the downs now, and even better on up days.

Q: Looking at transferring one of these stocks from a margin account to TFSA. Which one would you suggest? I know both of them have risen to great heights during 2021 only to settle low, but am looking for your opinion on where their growth story standsy.
Q: What are thoughts on HireQuest, Inc. (HQI). The share price seems to have broken out this year. Their niche seems to be quite timely given the labour market situation in the U.S. They also appear to be consolidating a highly fragmented industry (which is something I always like to see). Any thoughts or aspects which I may be missing?
Q: Would this reit be a considered a good defensive play in 2022 against inflation? Approx 50% of their anchor tenants are Drug Stores, Grocery Stores, Dollar stores and Gas stations.
Q: Could I get your current view on GOOS and their prospects for the new year?
Merry Christmas to all at 5i and thank-you for the consistent guidance throughout the year.
Q: For 2022, which would be your "bottom 10", least favourite, large to medium sized, canadian listed companies? (It's ok if you choose to offer up more than 10)
Many thanks for you great advice and a very Happy and prosperous New Year.

Q: The listed oil and gas companies comprise a 4% weight in my portfolios. I have been dying in oil and gas for about a decade. However, not counting the capital losses I have taken over the years, the current portfolio of legacy and new acquistions is miraculously above water. I have promised myself to never again be so exposed to the world's most manipulated commodity. If I'm going to folow though on this self-promise I need to think about liquidating some of these positions. Question: in what order would you take down these positions?
Best wishes for 2022. David

Q: Hi 5i & Happy New Year!
On the assumption there will be some names that will see a nice bump in January as buyers get back in after tax loss selling and maybe other factors have caused some recent price reductions, are there 4 or 5 that you would recommend as good candidates for early January purchase to take advantage of that bump before the tax loss sellers can re-up?
And if you think the idea isn't sound, please let me know, and why.
Thanks!
Peter
