Q: There is some thought that emerging markets might be a good place to invest at this time, especially when compared to USA markets. What is your opinion and why? If you concur, what ETF (s) would you suggest? I have recently come across an ETF with the symbol CIEM; could you factor this ETF into your analysis and opinions please. Thanks

Q: Hi,

Are there any recent studies that you would recommend regarding optimal diversification (not CAPM)?

It seems these days that in bad markets everything falls regardless of sector, region, size etc. So I am trying to figure out if it’s worthwhile holding “safe” securities that return a fraction of what higher growth names would-since these safe plays still fall significantly in down markets, albeit much less than the high fliers.
Specifically, I am interested to see if someone (reputable) has proven that in the long run (10+years) it is worth holding ANY slow growth stocks returning say 5% per year and “only” fall 25% in down market versus having an aggressive portfolio of high growth stocks returning 20+% per year but fall 50% in a down market. I would think the compounding of high growth portfolio would more than offset the larger loss in a down market-but looking to see if this has been proven.

thanks!

Q: I am considering sell GUD and buying IBB and/or IHI and/or VEEV and/or GH. Risk is not an issue and I am okay with US stocks as well as Canadian. Your comments would be appreciated.

Thanks for your service

Q: I know that Peter would not characterize himself as as a “Value” investor, but some recent articles have indicated conditions (interest rates, inflation, growth or lack of) may be setting up for an outperformance for value stocks. If that thesis turned out to have validity, can you give me an idea of what your Value Portfolio might look like? If you could choose some from different sectors, and throw in a few US choices, so much the better. Thank you.

Q: Hi Team;
Aside from the recent weakness in tech growth stocks the last while , what is your take on Well? It has been consolidating/ weak for the last yr almost now . Do you see the consolidation as healthy after its quick run up in the stock after its ipo ? Or is there some other reason for the weakness ? You would think the pandemic would expose the need for telehealth and boosted up the need for healthcare in general. I would have expected Well to be a little stronger given that backdrop. What are your thoughts on the stock ? Do you consider it a potential multi bagger over the next 5yrs or so? If so is it a buy at todays share price? Thanks!

Q: Peter,

Cyber security seems to be a bigger and bigger threat. Is it worth getting involved in this space? If so, is it covered by the big tech names such as Microsoft, Apple etc or is it worth looking at specific ETF such as CYBR? Are there any stocks names that are interesting?

Thank you,

Paul C
