Q: Hope everyone had a great long weekend!

I've a question well outside of your regular commentary on Canadian and US markets. Fevertree Drinks PLC had a great run from listing until 2018, and then again after sinking when Covid hit until January 2022. The stock has since hit what appears to be another floor and has bounced along it since.

I am curious what your thoughts are, if any, on their performance, what management issues has led to their share price challenge and what they are doing about it, and lastly the stocks potential for value appreciation over the next 3-5 years.

Thanks very much

Q: Sorry about this tax loss question but I find it a little confusing regarding the minimum 30 day waiting period.
If I sold all my BCE shares on April 16 for a loss.
What is the "earliest" exact date I can start buying BCE back and still claim
the loss in my taxable account?

Q: I recently changed Financial advisors. I am sitting on a significant amount of cash to deploy. I am concerned deploying the cash while Canadian and US Markets reach all time Highs. Given the tremendous run the markets have had in the last 6 months, what would be your advice?

Thanks
Tim

Q: Given the current direction of the Canadian economy, my goal is to focus the majority of my investments in the US. According to Portfolio Analytics, currently 53% of my portfolio is US, 46% Canadian (the remainder being international). I believe my US holdings are significantly under-rated given the Canadian stocks I hold. I would appreciate ballpark figures regarding the US/international component of the following TSX listed stocks: WSP, TFII, BIPC, BEPC, BAM, BN, and HPS.A. This will enable me to get a better handle on what my actual US/international holdings are. Thank you.

Q: Hello
Pardon my tone but
Since since the start of Q1 Is it just me or are there in fact less questions being answered by the 5iii moderators both in volume and in a timely manner ? I know I ve had a t least 1 unanswered question for Q1:
- 1 being what would the 5i BE Portfolio return in fact be with out the CSU position being included since inception ?

and a new question -
To align the 5i platforms company reports to the 5i portfolio recommendations
Perhaps its time for 5i to seriously consider to post your research reports as follows: only 35-45% Canadian Equity reports with the remaining reports being USA or International equities (matching your member questionnaire) or the very least post the US research reports of the US Equity positions that the 5iii directors etc all in fact own per your disclosures ! - as I assume an alike research analysis has obviously been completed.

Based on my personal returns using the model portfolio baselines I have concluded believe there is a serious disconnect in that the model portfolios are 100% Canadian focused (zero US and international equity exposure) & none of the researched & recommended equity positions are owned by 5i directors. This issue also entertains what portfolio make up the 5i moderators in fact have in comparison or in lieu to the model portfolios that paying members utilize as a baseline ?
This perspective is no different than the importance of insider ownership of the public companies we all invest in.
*Perhaps a new platform feature of the various 5i members portfolio positions alike to the 5i subscribers portfolio allocations.

I look forward to your response and perhaps a disclosure of some 5i insider information on genuine portfolio make up.

Q: If Trump wins this election i am considering moving most of my investments into the US market. I think that Canada amongst others will suffer thru his direction (dictatorship) and US stocks will do well. Would you have any stock recommendations should this election play out this way. Thx, James

Q: Hi 5i Team,

I have received a offer from SES to purchase shares between $11.40 and $13. The position I have is part of a diversified portfolio in my TFSA and I am up 90% at current prices and have really enjoyed the growing dividend. I am tempted to sell 1/3 of my position at the higher range of the offer to take some money off the table.

What are your current thoughts on SES as a company, its assets and market position?

What do you think of the offer given the current market price and this point in the cycle?

Thanks for the great service!

Colin

Q: Does 5i have a preference for any particular US or Canadian silver miners? In the past, the go to name was always First Majestic but the fiasco surrounding Jerritt Canyon seems to have hampered the company.

Thank you as always
