Q: the Q2 seems indicating that they have managed the way to survive the challenges of liquidity. if that is the case, then the net equity per share of $23.45 would worth the risk and patient. your comments please.
Q: Hello Peter,
What is your opinion on Amazon's results? Buying opportunity? Would you use the decline in share price of constellation over the last two days as way of buying more? Is Teledoc a sell at this point and does the theme of remote healthcare no longer hold as it did during covid? thanks a bunch
Q: What’s the outlook for copper and does the insider buying mean anything for a small stock like this? If you were a penny stock trader would it grab your attention? Can you tell me anything about the company both good and bad from a financial standpoint? Are familiar with the CEO or management track record? Thanks
Q: Hi Peter…Today’s headline “Strategic Investors Exercise Warrants Early”. The stock is up slightly today in a down market likely due to encouraging drill results and today’s posting the news about the investors exercising the warrants. Do you know if Eric Sprott has been exercising his warrants (assuming he is a strategic investor and has warrants)! Do these warrants trade? A couple of days ago a press release stated that for one hole the visible gold in the core was becoming “coarser”, suggesting the hole is close to penetrating the centre of the ore body. I assume “coarser” means the gold crystals are becoming larger. Do you know if that is logical or just wishful thinking? I own slightly more than 2,000 shares and am thinking about buying some more. I generally don’t purchase warrants but might reconsider.
The news suggests veins at depth so production costs will be substantial - if it ever reaches that stage.
Jim
Q: Looking for tax-loss proxy ideas for CAN: DCBO and US: NXT, SMCI, and PLTR. If there are simply better names to consider as replacements, those would be appreciated as well. Thank you!
Q: I'm a bit overweight on Energy. I'm also wondering if energy macro is deteriorating. I was thinking can oilseeds would be positive with transcontinental opening. But now I hear China demand is low, and if usa is in recession also not good. I assume canada in recession too. Can you help sort the macro out? Do you see oil prices generally low and deteriorating on the next 1-2 years? Or will demand be there?
Q: Westgold Resources Limited (WGX.AX) This is the merger with KRR.to
Could you speak to the merger with these two companies. Price and volume have risen so does that mean shareholders are liking the deal? Would you buy?
Q: Would you see any reason to keep either of these companies... they have been a drag on my portfolio of a long time. I am thinking of deploying this money into WGX (the KRR merger)?
I currently have a portfolio weighting of 18.1% financials versus the recommended 15%. Individual stocks at 1/2 to full positions include the 4 banks, SLF, ING, MA, TSU, ONEX, BN and BAM. (I do need to consolidate I think).
All have been doing more or less what I would expect; except ONEX. It has been a frustrating stock to own, with a downtrend for the years, in my view, a management enrichment program.
The question - would it make more sense to shed this stock and perhaps one of the banks, then roll the funds into a BN or BAM.
