Q: Do you know if any of the above companies have exposure directly to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Alternatively, would any of the above benefit from sanctions on Russia/Belarus (for example buyers switching to NTR for supplies from Russian suppliers)? Thank you as always.

Q: Hi 5i, I own some D-Serie funds in my BMO InvestorLine account. I was told that, by law, the D funds will not be allowed anymore in self-directed accounts and will be converted to F-series very soon. Do you -or your readers- know where this directive comes from? And will this conversion be tax-free? Thanks.

Q: Hello Peter and team,
What do you think of Arc Resources? Is it too late to buy at the current price in the $15 dollar range? I was looking at vector vest and they feel chartwell and Sienna are over valued by 50 percent. This does not make sense to me. What metrics do you use to determine their valuation and in your view are they currently fully valued or still have some upside as the dividends are decent?

Q: I have dabbled in a few mid to small cap Canadian bio companies over the years. I never have the stomach to hold on for the long term in general due to high volatility but I like the sector. I'm currently sitting on Sernova (SVA) for now at least. How Do you like them? Do you have any other recommendations in this sector?

Q: Greetings 5i,

I own both of these and have done well. I consider them long term holds. Bruce Flat has stated last quarter he sees 20% growth per year over several years. Apollo has merged with Athene (insurance /annuities etc). My question is, in an inflationary and subsequent rising interest rate environment, will these two companies face significant headwinds? Have we seen the “top” in the asset management class short to medium term? Please explain why or why not. Deduct as needed.

Cheers!

Q: Hi 5i team. Love what you guys offer here as I am a recent trial member who pulled the trigger and signed up. I currently hold ATZ, BAM.A FLOW GSY PRN SLF TOI VFV and WSP in a TFSA. I am looking at rounding out my portfolio to include one of: IIP.un, DIR.un, CAR.un for long term hold with focus on growth and ok with some volatility. So out of those 3 what would you suggest is the best one to choose? Also, any other suggestions you would consider adding to my portfolio for increased diversification based on my overall strategy? Thanks

Could you list from more appealing to least appealing? And then at what price you would buy.
Thanks

Q: I find myself on the fence with Savaria. I have held it a long time and consequently have had it grow from a partial position initially to full position without adding to it. With interest rates due to rise I assume it will cost SIS more to service their debt (eventually at least), and if inflation continues to run I would prefer owning a company that has demonstrated an ability to increase their dividend. In your last report, under “Valuation” you state “… we expect SIS to maintain its record of annual dividend increases”, but I note in the Report Card of that same report it gives 5 Yr Dividend Growth a C rating and what looks like a -25%? Can you please comment?
Thanks,
