Q: Hi Team,
I am sitting on a small position of roblox in a US cash account with a 56% loss. Would you recommend holding this name with expectation of an eventual comeback ? Or is it time to cash out and accept the capital loss? If so what name would be your favourite to buy today with the funds either US or Cnd regardless of sector for a 10yr hold?

Thanks ,
Shane

Q: Hello 5i,

We have been monitoring the economic cycle relative to stock market performance. Commodities are hot and there is a trend towards Bonds. Typically, this would indicate a stock market decline leading into a recession (mild or or medium decline).

But, our world has been turned upside down since covid. Is the S&P model of economic cycle and stock market performance model valid at this time?

Q: What is the short list of companies traded on the tsx
/tsxv that benefit from support and growth of the electrical grid and power generation. With the push for heat pumps, EV's etc I see future growth in this sector with growing demand.

Q: Quite some time ago I asked 5i for a comparison of JD and AMZN . JD was the clear winner on valuation but 5i favored AMZN. I bought JD anyway and took a bath on it . But according to your disclaimer so did you. { Either that or you've held a short position for a world record time } ..... I liked the company when it was $83 and I still like the company now though it has slipped to a 1% position in my portfolio .... Just saw their earnings report which was a beat and it looks like they are doing some interesting expansions. Could 5i offer an opinion on the expansions ? And which would you give the edge to, JD or PDD and why ? ..... And do you see the " China Factor " as continuing to plague these companies ? With the U.S. talking trade war I am a bit leery in spite of these extremely attractive valuations ......

Q: Hi,
I’m trying to help my friend organize her investments. She has minimal understanding of investments securities and had to move her pension to LIRA and RRSP 15 years and told Canada Life mutual funds that she was conservative profile. Fast forward 15 years her mutual funds have made her minimal money with back ended fees. The funds range in MERS from 1.6% to 2.5%. In looking at her holdings the portfolio make up is approximately
Fixed income - 22%, Balanced income %11, Cnd equity 62%, resources/specialty -2%. Retirement is still 10-15 years away. (Her husband has a pension)What ETF’s would match this asset mix to help get her started independently and move away from the high fees? I was thinking VBAL … But it is conservative. Any suggestions would be great to provide choice on where to invest her money. Please take as many credits as you want.
Thanks so much!
Kerri

Q: I have just sold all our shares in SPB:CA despite the high dividend. It has been languishing for too long and I'm sure there is a better investment somewhere in the energy industry.
It was our only stock in the energy industry and we should replace like for like.
What are your best suggestions for the next 3-5 years for total ROI in a RIF?

Q: I‘m a happy shareholder of BBD since 2022. I took profit from time to time including early May’24.
I don’t understand the rise from $63 to $91 since earnings release (up 16% on Wednesday).
BBD got many upgrades from analysts around $100, but this stock is not cheap anymore.
Close to a MEME stock? Or any good news this week? Thanks for your services and patience.
