Q: Good morning,
Pondering investing in REAL with a few questions please.
How does 5i feel about their current competitive position and ability to land new Tier 1/2 lenders and increase market share?

How does 5i assess REAL's runway for strengthening competitive position? Regarding this, Pg. 34 of REAL's Nov 2020 Investor Day presentation says "Investment in technology in F2021-23 expected to yield 20% reduction in cost to serve by 2025".
Two questions here please.
Is 5i aware of REAL making technology enhancements in 2021 consistent with this statement, and if so what was the key one?
Two, is REAL's current focus on buying back shares in F2021 consistent with them still having the cash to make technology investments?
Thank you. Edward

Q: Hi,

I have a small amount of funds available to invest inside my TFSA. I already hold a small position of TOI (26 shares) and really like the company. I'm looking to either: add to the TOI position, or start a new position in NVEI or ASAN. They all seem quite pricey with current valuations (with NVEI and ASAN rising sharply in the past few days). Based on current valuation, which do you prefer for a minimum 5-year hold. Risk tolerance high.

Thanks

Q: Any recommendations for US or international (listed on US stock exchange) stocks for RRSP and TFSA accounts to help overall diversification with non-registered accounts that are overweight Canada geographically and within that financial, energy, and utilities overweight. Thanks.

Q: So let's imagine late Monday that our PM strides to the stage with a self-congratulatory grin and our NDP friends again are restored to a power broker status - can increased cap gains taxes really be far off (rhetorical question) - so you generally say don't act based on tax change assumptions but really why not take some gains now and bite the likely lessor bullet - if there's a say 12% or so additional tax bite on the horizon you need some generous gains ahead to compensate - thoughts Peter?? And if one does some selling and cementing of gains would you then recommend some safer income plays for the cash raised until there is more clarity surrounding markets - appreciate your input - Ken

Q: Hello 5i Research
In your June report on Toi stock you pointed out that if Csu would sell their shares of Toi ,it would get hit very hard.My question is what is the likelihood that they would sell and when might they do that also why ?
Thanks as always for your great feedback.
