Q: I saw some advice awhile back about converting Canadian dividend companies that are also listed on the US exchange to their US listing, so that the dividends would then be paid in USD. I think the idea was to avoid the conversion from USD to Canadian dollars for companies that earn much of their money in USD. I'm not sure if I saw that on 5i or somewhere else. Can you comment on this - is it a good idea and are there any exchange or tax considerations?

Q: In our “balanced portfolio” we have decided to go to US stocks for our healthcare allocation. Currently holding MDT, VEEV and GH. Are these reasonable holdings? We like a concentrated portfolio so only have these 3 as our healthcare stocks. Would you suggest any changes or potentially a new 4th position? We are buy and hold growth investors looking at greater than 10 years until we would require these funds.

Q: Hi team,

I know you are fundamental analysts, but you mention technicals from time to time. I am curious on your thoughts of the RSI as an entry or exit indicator on a stock. I look at it, not so much to see if a stock is overbought or oversold, but more so to judge how a stock is holding up in a bad market. Do you use it in your analysis and do you have a preferred website where RSI data is readily available?

Thanks again.

Q: WISE Hi Peter - I realize this stock is outside of your market experience. But I'd greatly appreciate any information you could provide on the outlook for this UK listing? Do the financials appear that good that the stock has risen from 775 to 1120 since the IPO. Greatly appreciate your sound advice.

Q: When I look at the quoted prices for SLF it gives me a long list of share types you can purchase. I understand that a preferred share acts more like a bond and you don't have voting rights but you get paid dividend payments first and come ahead of the line before common share holders for pay outs. Given the price per share of a preferred share is much less than a common share why would anyone not choose the preferred shares? In essence, I want to know whether to buy SLF common shares or preferred shares, thanks.

Q: Hello,
What ADR would you suggest for Volkswagen?
I've owned VWAGY on the OTC Pink. Somewhat liquid and appears to pay dividends once a year.
Is there a better way to own this company in my TD USD trading account?
Thanks
