Q: Thanks for answering both of my questions on ATS and BYD earnings. In reviewing past answers on these 2 companies it seems to me that this in not the first 'disappointing' quarter they have had.

They seem to be in a slump on earnings and in performance which naturally follows.

ATS -31% year to date and -30 for 1 year.

BYD -18% year to date and -3% for 1 year.

Both significantly lagging the S&P and QQQ.

How much longer will you give these 2 in your portfolios before they are replaced?

If you were to replace them today with good quality US stocks with good performance numbers, which would they be?

Thanks

Sheldon

Q: Could I have your opinion on PFE earnings please. I see from your notes that Pfizer is not your favorite; could I have your view on its recovery potential please from what appears to be a depressed level.

Q: I currently hold NVDA in non-registered account and two registered accounts. In view of the poor performance and perhaps a low future growth in the automotive industry, I am thinking of selling my position in the non-registered account, harvest a capital loss and initiate a position in NVDA. I am trying to take advantage of the pullback in NVDA and increase the growth profile. Understanding your limitation in providing advice on this move, your opinion of the pros and cons of this switch would be appreciated.

Q: Correct me if I am mistaken but Shop missed estimates and the stock tanked then they beat estimates last week and the stock soared. Over the past 2 days the stock is up approximately 30%. Does the erratic performance make one doubt their ability to at least achieve estimates, let alone exceed them? I assume it is the company’s executives who project the upcoming numbers! Is executive compensation reasonable? I seem to recall a recent comment that executive compensation was ridiculously high. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

Q: I am an income investor. Can you please explain, with falling interest rates, the risks associated to making a significant bet on Superior Plus Company (SPB). From my reading, the 9% dividend is well covered by earnings and the debt, though significant, is coming down. The company is making money with a largely captive audience and the day to day share price is largely irrelevant to me. With a 5 year, plus, horizon, I don’t get the low share price. Is this a poor man’s Enbridge?

Thanks for the help!!

Q: All three companies came out with decent financials and all are down significantly with these results. GSY was the best and it is down 7 dollars. What if they had been bad results. Seems like you cant win in this enviornment. I feel like cashing out everything and waiting. This was also during very good trading days after the collapse. Does this sound wise because of an impending slowdown.
