Q: I have my RRSP with a full service broker - Canadian dollar & $US account - If I bought a stock on the TSE in canadian dollars and that stock pays it's dividends in $US - is it possible (to save any conversion fees) to have the dividends transferred to my $US RRSP? If YES - is there any cost of any kind to be expected?

Q: Hello,

The last question for SLQT dates back to August when it was trading just below $14. It's now trading around $9 and was recently near a 52-week low.

I believe you were favourably disposed to this company earlier this year.

I'm interested in hearing your current take on the company and whether it is now in your informed opinion more of a buy.

Thanks!

Marc.

Q: Have a capital loss on VLDR and am looking to sell for tax planning purposes. There has been a lot of negative news related to the Founder and Management direction for the company and that seemed to have put pressure on the stock as well as other factors. Lidar looks like a good long term technology to invest in, should I consider re-buying VLDR back after 30 days or can you suggest a better opportunity in the space. Your opinion on this is appreciated.

Q: I want to be better prepared for the next big market correction. I have been keeping ten per cent cash that can be deployed when I correction happens and I know where I want to add to positions and start a couple of new ones, for instance Microsoft. I have never shorted an individual stock but I might consider an ETF that shorts an index. Where should I start my learning? Most of our money is registered accounts which complicates shorting. I am not suggesting I want to do it now but if the market gets forthy next year and the federal banks start to raise interest rates to comabt inflation there is going to be carnage. Thanks for the good service. Glad you informed me about Constellation Software five or so years ago What I gem!!

Q: The stock has plummeted from 130 in Sept to 49 today. I don't recall a 5i recco that has fallen so dramatically and ever recovered to where it was.

Obviously the shorts have it right (so far) to be short was the right thing to do.

1)Do you sincerely feel that LSPD will ever recover to where it had been?

2)If yes, what dramatic course of events would do it?
