Q: Dear 5i,
Is it possible that SQUARE/BLOCK paid 10 times too much for AFTERPAY?
(Paid $29B, but value was $3B)
Assuming SQ did pay too much, how long would it take for the company to recover? Is this a broken stock, or company?
Happy holidays to all and thanks for all the great answers.

Q: I am putting together a list of stocks to purchase in my TFSA for a 10 year hold. I am a very conservative investor and want income and some growth from my TFSA.
What companies would you add or delete from this list? Should I include a few US names?

Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i
If unable to answer this Q that's okay.
Surprised at 7% price decline on VIGI - International Dividend ETF.

One Top holding in ETF is down 11% ( Novo nordisk) but that is all I can see.
It went X-Div today but the Annual Div is only 1% total.

Is there anything visible in your data that may reveal how in one day a 1/2 year of gains has been wiped out in a large cap Dividend ETF?
Current price is $US 82.58 down $US 6.12

Thanks
DAve

Q: Good morning 5i
and the best of the season to you all. I hope you all have a great rest and relaxation time this season. You have earned it, if you listen to most of the commentators on the site, who seem to be very happy with your service, And that includes me.

I was just wondering about options. I had a number of options expiring last Friday and I am planning on rolling them over for another month. It is a fairly down day in the market today and I was wondering whether I would b e better to wait a day or two, or a week, to see if the sentiment changes. Perhpas the option premiums would be higher at that time. so, that is the quesion, is there any profit in waiting out a down day before selling call options?
thanks

Q: In my dividend portfolio, I have half positions in these stocks. Can you put them in order of which you would bring up to a full position first to last in light of their current value? Thanks!

Q: A big question for this one...LSPD has traditionally used it's stock as currency to fund it's growth by acquisition strategy. By nature of it's recent huge decline from it's highs, does this not now make any new growth very expensive and far more dilutive to current shareholders?

When the company is not making a profit and it's acquisition currency (stock) just took about $115.00 share haircut off it's highs, what's this going to do to it's ability to meet growth expectations?

Won't they either have to make smaller acquisitions which won't move the needle as much for growth rate OR have to issue more stock at lower prices, thereby further reducing the current value of the stock (dilutive to current shareholders) and does this not change the fundamentals of the story?

Do we know what they are doing to generate growth organically and what their expected growth rate would be organically (ie without acquisitions) until they can streamline their operations and hopefully become profitable? Would you add to this now, sell or hold?

Q: I have losses as follows for potential tax loss selling:
AQN 18%
BEP.UN 24%
SJ 14%
What can you recommend as suitable proxies until repurchase, or which ones would you not repurchase (leaving their "proxies" in the portfolio).
Thanks, and I wish everyone on the team, and your readers, Merry Anytime and Happy Always.
