Q: Hi team and all the best in 2022.
Ar is still 42% held by institutions, av.price target by analysts is at $3.45,the Magino project funding shortfall is perhaps 300million.I realize that there could be a stock issue to fund the shortfall,BUT with the Magino project with it's proven reserves and low cost of 600$ an ounce to exploit,do you see this company being undervalued and the selling exaggerated due to the uncertainties? A wise purchase for the long term at this price?
Many thanks,
Jean

Q: I was planning on growing my position in these companies during 2022 in my TFSA account. Is there any of these companies you wouldn't invest in or replace for an other company (please indicate witch company you would replace it by).

Also can you say in what order you would rank these companies from highest to lowest, highest being you favourite and lowest least favourite?

Q: Hello 5i!

So I am a little overweight in technology and feeling the burn a little over the last few months. I am considering re-balancing but am wondering about timing (I know, its impossible! lol)
You have commented that the Q4 is typically good for technology stocks so would you anticipate that they may see positive momentum in the next month or so? I realize you don't have a crystal ball but just based on general market patterns?

Also, what is the general window for Q4 earnings reports? ( end of Jan to end of Feb?)

Lastly, a sincere thanks for all you folks do. Your expertise, education and general good common sense have made a world of difference to the whole 5i community (and their families!).

Wishing you all a healthy and happy 2022.

Q: Withdrew $75000 plus in calander year 2021. Assuming I can contribute $75000 plus $6000 in 2022 .
The contribution will be stocks from my unregistered account. My choices to contribute are, AQN,BCE,EIF and SLF plus cash for which will purchase additional shares of BCE and SLF.
Am I correct on contribution? Any comments on my choices for contribution. Looking for some income plus enough growth to mitigate rising interest rates and inflation.

Q: Hi, Needed your opinion on Energy Sector allocation for 2022 and beyond. Most strategists are predicting another solid year for Energy sector, although, 2021 was a huge comeback for the sector. What's your take ? If you support this view, what will be your Best 5 to 7 ideas, based upon a balance of Current Valuation, Growth, Lower risk/volatility and some Dividend income. Thank You

Q: I have a 1/2 position in Stella Jones... One of the few of my holdings in the red...You have a good rating on the company but it isn't in any of the portfolios. Is it time to move on....Thinking of selling and moving to PBH, TCL or BYD all of which I currently hold full positions in an un-registered account. Thoughts on hold or move on, open to other suggestions in balanced or income portfolios for good buy opportunities.

Q: Hi 5i team.
Looking for at least 3-5 year and likely longer hold on cybersecurity stocks or ETF. Would invest about 2 % of my equity funds in this.
Need high conviction for longer term capital preservation though I am quite OK with volatility. (A lot of tech stocks currently are relatively on sale.)

What would be your top 2 stocks and/or ETF recommendation? What price would you consider buying in at for your top recommendations.
Thank you so much.

Q: Recently held LSPD and watch it fall fall and fall. Wish I had sold some.
Have held shop for several years and am now watching it tumble. Understand both are growth stocks and there is a rotation. Is there a price point that Shop would hit where you think one should sell some. Are my concerns justified or is it a wait and be patient and it will return to 2000.00. Realize you do not have a crystal ball but need your advice.

Q: Hi, to compare apples to apples...In 2021 I've held a 80/20 portfolio and returned 19%.
Is there a site you would know of that shows returns for all types of allocations?

Thanks
