Q: Hi Peter,

What is your brief overall take should the following stocks be part of one's investment portfolio?

High risk is tolerable and time horizon is greater than 5 years.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Q: It's been almost a year since you reviewed INEO. I'd appreciate an updated outlook given it's Nov. 2 announced global distribution agreement with Prosegur.

I'm also curious re its patented technology - seems to me that a strong multi-national like Prosegur could build their own rather than partner with INEO. In short, does INEO have an effective moat for that kind of techology?

Q: Looking at adding the 3 equities (HMMJ:CA; UL:US; XUSR:CA) to a TFSA. Some questions re: these 3 securities:
(a) is HMMJ:CA a reasonable security for exposure to marijuana sector, or is there another security (preferably, trading in CAD$) that you would recommend?
(b) is UL:US a U.K.-associated security, and hence there would be no tax withholding if held within a TFSA?
(c) is XUSR:CA a reasonable security for ESG exposure (in Canadian dollars) for TFSA, or is there another similar type of security that you would prefer for a TFSA?

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I know I am way behind but I have just been reading about how autonomous-EV are going to be a hugh disrupter...I guess it is called TaaS. Does your Growth Portfolio have any exposer to this phenomena? If not do you have any suggestion of stocks that still have reasonable upside with this innovation. Thanks!

Q: I currentl y hold a significant position in Cameco. Some of my reading suggests that CCO has very bad hedging for the next few years that will substiantly, negatively impact earnings.
Would you please shed some light on their current hedging and its impact on their bottom line?
With appreciation,

Q: I think Brookfield Asset Management is a great company to invest in for the long term. I'm debating whether to acquire more BAM in CDN or USD but wanting to better understand the USD option. Can you help me understand the pros and cons of holding BAM:US in a USD TFSA vs. a USD RSP vs. a USD non-registered account? Thanks very much, your answers are always really helpful.

Q: You are probably going to be bombarded with questions re ECN in the next few days. Here is mine. According to the information circular , of the $7.50 payout, $4.15 is a return of capital and $3.35 a special dividend. In my non-registered account, if I paid $3.00 per share does that translate that my cost per share is zero?
Thanks

Q: Hi,

Follow up to Earls question (Thanks Earl), but for a non-registered account.

If I buy ECN now at $11. Once I get the $7.50 dividend, say the stock drops by $7.50. Wouldn't it result in a capital loss of $7.50 a share (if I sell it) that I can offset against capital gains? Sounds like it would be smart thing to do. Is this correct or am I missing something?

Thanks
