Q: Hi group...If we assume the conflict in middle east is going to escalate. What are you thoughts on a strategy to take advantage ...I am thinking we might test last Oct lows...What your thoughts on this?.
I have $100,000) cash waiting to invest at some point... do you suggest entry soon? and if so what is your top 10 picks regardless of sector or market. Thanks for your insight

Q: There haven't been many questions on RA of late. Now yielding a mind boggling 18% . That a lot for a fund based on real assets ..... Something happened in late August that took a third of its' value off . I believe that was a dividend cut ? What was the reason behind the cut ? With 73% of the fund invested in fixed income I don't understand the volatility .....Please review the structure and its' holdings and give me a fresh perspective of what this fund holds and its' investment quality. And explain why such a structure pays such a high dividend ? And if the new dividend faces the likelihood of another cut ? ......... Thanks Garth ....

Q: Sooner than later the US Congress and Senate will have to deal with the US debt ceiling. One option is to cut expenditure for certain categories, like health care or medical expenditures. With this in mind, I searched for revenue from the US Federal Government for each of the health stocks that I hold but with no luck. Did this as I think that if such revenue is cut for such healthcare stocks the price of the stock could decline. Can you estimate such revenue received for each of these stocks - ABBV, ABT, BSX, ISRG, SYK, UNH and ZTS? Or do you know a source for such information? .......Thanks for the assistance.......Tom

Q: I just visited your subscription website. 5i rightfully touts the outstanding returns on these BEST PERFORMERS since inception.

I have benefited immensely from those picks BUT bailed at the wrong time and now only hold GSY.

Would you still recommend Csu,byd and syz at current prices or are there new potential multi baggers that you prefer

Q: The other day a member asked about utility companies being takeover candidates and you closed your answer by saying:

"Companies we think would prefer stock deals and may be loathe to add more debt right now. But, AQN, ALA, TA, RNW, CPX and INE are probably getting a little antsy right now about overtures."

I am not sure how to interpret the "getting antsy" reference; are you saying these companies could potentially be subject to a takeover? If so, most of the time that would be a good thing but are you thinking that these companies are in bad shape and would be forced into a distressed (low ball) sale? Thanks much for your excellent service.
