Q: For the last two sessions ABST had huge price swings. What is the reason behind this?
I am trying to decide between ABST and SYZ for some growth potential and income.
Are the dividends safe here?as SYZ becomes a "growth"stock ,they might cut the dividend?
Which of the two stocks would you buy or any other potential stock here?
As a site note, you mentioned NNX in a post with Martello, was this a typo?

Hello Peter:
We have to choose to add to two among these higher dividend stocks in my Cash account. These will be held for the next 20 years and want the best "sleep-at-Night" investments that hopefully never need to be sold.
I am looking for strong growing dividends plus decent compound 10 year share price growth of at least 6%.
BNS, RY, BCE, T, FTS, PPL, SLF, CNR.
I know CNR dividend is only 1.8% but it may be outweighed by growth?
Any other suggestions are welcome.
Could you please arrange them best first for safety and dividend growth
Thank you............. Paul W. K.

Q: The Trade Desk presently has sales of 86% in North America and 14% in international. The president believes that in the long run, international will become a bigger part of the overall revenues which is promising.

On the other side I see a strong growth in stock base compensation every year. In 2018 there was around 424 M of stock and now it is more than 500 M. No acquisitions were made to dilute shareholders and there is no buyback at the moment. They could put one in place in the future since they have 1 B in cash and no debt.

I know that stock base compensations is a way to acquire and retain strong talents but do you believe that it is bad for us as shareholders ?

Q: Up until now, I have only part full or nearly full positions in a stock while trying to keep my total number of stocks under 30 in number. However, I am now considering taking a slightly different approach and buying a basket of some beaten-up stocks, likely from those noted above.

Since I am new to this strategy, my question is, what would you consider to be a useful percentage to devote to a stock that will allow for meaningful gains while limited individual risk? I'm thinking 1% is too little, 1.5% might be enough and certainly no more than 2%.

Your insight is appreciated.

regards,

Paul F.

Q: I am looking to possibly add to GSY. I am comparing to TD and BNS in the following order: GSY,TD,BNS with PB Ratio: 2.9, 1.9, 1.7; PE Ratio: 8.8, 12.7, 11.6; DIV(%): 2.6, 3.5, 4.3. Would you think the disparity in the PE Ratio may continue with GSY? It looks like a buy for growth but (as usual) I am probably missing something. I currently have both TD and GSY. Thoughts please. Thanks Dan.

Q: Hi team. I was fortunate to add to my Nvdia position at $219 a couple of weeks ago. Nvdia has now grown to 7% of my investment portfolio (stocks) and 6% of my total portfolio. I know you can’t get specific with weightings. I do see you typically trim your balance model portfolio around 8% when a winner runs.

Thoughts on how you decide to trim a winner and when?
