Q: We have been told that a person Age 55 may create a RRIF account & begin drawing payments. Also, that up to $ 2,000 of any income would qualify for the Pension Income Tax Credit of $ 2,000.

However, another source says this is only available at age 65.

Can you shed any light on this - thanks very much

Q: Hi 5i
I'm looking at buying QST. Seems to be a good investment in green technology for the environment. I see the stock hasn't done much for a while. With all the new government money, both in the states and here, being directed at the environment, are they considered a player? How would you rate the stock and what might it do over the next year or two?
thank you

Q: Hi 5i Team,

Would you recommend any of these as a buy at this current time as a basket of smaller cap companies? If so, what order would you rank these?

Thanks,
Jon

Q: Income investor… but never happy to see holdings drop in value.
More specifically about oil. It is $88 today. Some are saying could go to $60. Others are saying : “perhaps BUT winter is coming and prices could go higher than $140”.

1. What is 5i’s opinion on oil over the next year?

2. Can many of the energy companies ( like PXD, SU, DVN, KMI, …,) continue to pay the same “ juicy” dividends should oil hit $60 for a prolonged period of time?

Thank you.

Q: I'm considering taking tax losses. Which of these would you consider moving on from or selling and getting back into at a later date.

I'm an income investor with a long term horizon and have apparently have passed the iron gut test.

Q: These two stocks are down materially, do pay attractive dividends and are European auto makers in weak Euro currency environment. Would these stocks are buys or there is still risk of further downside.?
