Q: Can you please give me you opinion on these companies as well as their financial status.
Would you consider CHE.UN a buy at these levels or what entry point.
What are your thoughts about the EIF bought deal that was just announced and would you think that this dip is a good buying opportunity?

Thanks
Joe

Q: Some time back, I came to the thesis that with all the financial stimulus, inflation would develop and that gold would rise. Well, we did have inflation but gold declined. Each of these 3 names may have had their own issues, I am down between 20 - 50 % on them. What is your view on gold going forward? What is your view on each of these 3 equities? Hold or sell, and why? Thank you for your excellent service.

Q: My son has saved up for a bit and has a decent amount of capital for his age. He has a TFSA but his investments are varied and not the best for a long term portfolio. We recently sat down and planned out a long term portfolio that would less risky for long term holdings. Would you guys change/swap, remove or add any from this portfolio of Canadian Stocks? TD, MG, BAM.A, ENB, SLF, FSV, T, FTS, CNR and TRI. Is the market also in a comfortable position to currently make a large investment of capital? Thanks.

Q: Thanks for your Aug 4 response to this issue. I note from co. statements that the change in revenues etc. appears only to apply to future BOO projects and that there would be no change in profitability, which seems to be implied by their recent message. Is this correct or are the adjustments you have noted required to asses the consequences of this change in accounting practice. Thanks

Q: What are your top 3-5 of picks in small/mid cap Canadian O&G stocks? I'd also appreciate your thoughts on holding periods.

(Eric Nuttal seems to think they will do well for quite a while yet, though he seems to always be bullish - or maybe just talks his book...)

Do any of these stocks seem like they w/b a good fit/mix or our there others that you think would be better choices?

Q: Dear 5i
I believe its probably a good time to start buying back into the market slowly over the next couple months but i`m concerned that i`ll buy quite a bit only to see values go down once a recession hits . I know there`s no guarantee of a recession but it does look very likely that we will have one to at least some degree . With the recession possibility in mind do you still think buying selective stocks and ETF`s over the next two or so months is a wise strategy ?
Thanks
