Q: I have been considering an investment in SYZ to replace my MAL shares .... After reading your report and previous answers it looks to me like I would be getting a company with revenue growth in 2022 of 43% and for 2023 of 80% while collecting a juicy close to 7% dividend .... But a couple of things give me pause .... First Simply Wall Street { link included at the end of the question } claims earnings will decrease by 32.4% per year for the next three years . I am having a hard time reconciling how how revenue will have those lofty growth numbers while simutaneously earnings will decline rather nastily ..... Could you explain please ? And comment on the other risk factors Simply Wall Street cites ? .... Also in another recent question 5I commented that SYZ was susceptible to both inflation and recession more than a list of other companies the member asked about ..... Could you elaborate on that thesis ? .....Thanks for your great service ......

Q: Good Morning.
I presently have UPST in a TFSA account. It is down significantly without tax loss sale possible. I have read that the new Apple payment system is disruptive to Block (Square) and to Affirm. What is your opinion on this and would UPST be significantly affected? Is it wise to continue to hold UPST or should I consider moving some funds into AAPL? Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i extremely informative staff! I have been holding these four stocks in my cash portfolio with long term intentions(5 years) for diversification contrary to my desire to have 4plus dividend % performers
They are also down substantially in the last 6 months

Can you please comment or recommend holding for long term or replacing them with suitable high dividend replacements in the same sector if possible
Please deduct the credits that you deem appropriate
Thank you

Q: In the next say 2-5 years I would expect the US Fed to reduce its balance sheet on the order of 10 Trillion dollars while at the same time increasing interest rates. Most other central banks around the world are likely to do the same. With this as the backdrop I expect the markets in general to take another leg down from here (after some kind of rally). What is your take?

Q: Hi.
What would be the highest percentage of (Suggested portfolio return expectation) in the summary page for a portfolio in your portfolio analytics. For example my is 4.6% if I change to dividend payers that exceed this value would the number go up? If I change to momentum stocks would the number go up? More stocks less fixed income? Just curious.
Thanks

Q: Dear 5i,
I currently have an approx. 3% holding in each of these energy stocks in my TFSA; TOU, SU and WCP. Do these three provide reasonable exposure to the energy sector? If there is too much overlap can you suggest which ones I might want to sell. If you think I should add more different types of energy stocks can you suggest ones to add with a 3% weighting. Thanks for all your help.

Q: From one of your answers: "data analytics might be the next big business that gets adopted faster. Companies are quickly realizing that their ROI can improve quickly simply by knowing their customers better."

Can you name your top five in this area and why they have more upside than competitors?

Thank you!

Q: I have TCL.a in a tax-deferred account and show a significant loss — 50.1% below my cost. I cannot use the tax loss. I follow only US shares , and 95% of my folio is in US-listed companies. I do not follow Canadian markets at all and was therefore wondering why on earth I bought this awful entity.

I have no clue EXCEPT since I would buy Canadian shares only if suggested by 5i or if the security appeared in the 5i portfolio.

Was this company EVER in the 5i folio? (I do not check the Q & A section; too many questions contain a bewilderingly long—very long— list of symbols that make it tediously difficult to read).

On TCL.a I checked reports from RBC-DI , iTRADE, Thompson Reuters, Research Team, StockCalc, StockReports, CFRA and several others. RBC is the only analyst that does NOT hate it.

When I took a closer look at TCL.a , I find it has a horribly, outdated business model. It has done nothing for years, and share price has gone only down. No analyst seems to have a clue how this ancient business model can ever work.

What do you think of TCL.a ? It does not matter that I find it maddening, meaning please disregard my prejudices and my frustration with myself for buying, then holding, something I didn’t take time to review. I am looking for a fresh independent opinion.... a very FRESH opinion from you, AFTER it reports tomorrow (June 8).
