Q: Hi,

I sold ATA and BYD for tax reasons as I was down on both. My original plan was to buy them back but we are now 30 days later and I'm hesitating as they are even lower. At this point, would you buy them back or look to other (better) opportunities. Would you be able to suggest same sector alternatives if I should look elsewhere?
Thanks

Q: Based on your best guess, how high do you think Prime rate can go and at what level will the 5 yr Canadian bond yield stabilized?

If the 5 yr Canada bond yield was to increase above say 5%, would it trigger a much larger stock market correction? There was not many alternatives to the stock market over the last many years in view of the very low rates. It seems to be changing to fight inflation. I am curious of you general comments on this. Thank you!

Q: I sold NVDA to accrue a tax loss and I can now buy it back. You were extremely high on the company 12 - 18 months ago but you have been naming other semi-conductor companies lately - QCOM and AMD specifically when asked about the sector. Have you cooled on NVDA and should I just stay with my proxy, AMD, or I am splitting hairs here and would you be comfortable with returning to NVDA for the long term?

Appreciate your insight.

Q: In your answer to my previous question on SYZ you said that earnings are expected to decline in 2022 but grow at a faster rate in 2023 .... Can I assume that the Simply Wall Street link I referenced is incorrect in their claim that earnings will decline by 32.4% PER year for the next three years ? .... Which I would assume to be 2022, 2023, and 2024 ...... If this is true I'll likely avoid the stock so I want to verify it's accuracy ......

Q: Hello 5i,

Could I get your future outlook on PXT given the recent election of a leftest government in Columbia. Market is very negative on the stock today (-10% as of writing).

Given that approx. 30% of Columbia's government revenues come from the taxation of Oil, I find it hard to believe that the new government would do anything to endanger it's revenue stream when it will be sorely need to pay for election promises made. I think the market is overreacting on this one.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Q: Hi, I have very small positions in each of these. Do you think it makes sense to sell STC ANRG and WELL to add to DND and CTS ? I view them as «safer» compagnies if a recession comes and they have as much long term upside potential as the others. What are your thoughts ? Thank you.

Q: Good morning good folks
When you suggest a hold period of X number of years does this imply the beginning of growth for that stock ...or perhaps a 5 or 10 or whatever percentage of growth. ? For instance I stepped in to buy more LSPD. If you suggest 2 or 3 or whatever number of years before I see any kind of profit..what could this mean in percentage?
Thankyou as always
