Q: I saw Eric Nuttall’s article on the case for building more pipelines to broaden our customer base for Canadian energy. I like the idea and think the public could (finally) get behind this. What companies would benefit from this type of project in the short term? Long term?

Q: I read one of the questions pertaining to GoEasy which talked about them being resilient during the 2008 financial crisis. In 2008, were companies such as GoEasy really impacted here in Canada ,as the banking regulations are different in Canada and the crisis was much more prevalent in the US. But this time around, if the tariff's kick in and a recession hits Canada, do you believe that GoEasy will still be able to weather the storm in a similar fashion, as I feel that there has been a very huge selloff of GoEasy in recent months. Do you think it may be overdone?
Q: If we put aside the normal indicators for Gold and consider the geopolitical climate that is surfacing day to day around the world, along with the US potentially having some instability within their own borders and the instability with their allies, is it a good time to buy gold as an investment? What do your a believe are the pluses and minuses for Gold increasing in value over the course of the next 12 months?
Q: Before any news about Deep Seek , analyst were saying that NVDA was still in a buy position looking long term. What do we think today ? Is this a temporary pull back ? Thanks for your thoughts.
Q: I would like to increase my investments in foreign, but non-USA situs, companies, by buying ADRs (as my estate would be subject to US estate taxes). Currently, I have smallish positions in NVO (NovoNordisk; Danish) and ALC (Alcon; Swiss), which I am planning to add to. However, I would like to invest in up to three additional ADRs. My approach to investing (over the past 3 decades) is very long term buy & hold (indefinite holds, to bequeath to future generations), so I am aiming for high-quality companies. Can you perhaps provide your thoughts on NVO and ALC, as well as suggest up to 5 additional ADRs for consideration? (I'm not a fan of tobacco or gaming stocks, but generally open to wide spectrum of ideas.)

Q: Dear 5i team.
Just curious which REIT owns the warehouses in Quebec that Amazon appears to be vacating with the announcement that they are closiing them all in the Province?
It will be a temp hit as they find new tenants, but is it material in the short term?
Thanks for your help in this regard.

Q: Could you please provide the names of the companies in 5i Portfolios, which could see a meaningful impact on their business, in order of Major to Moderate, if the Tariffs on import of goods/oil from Canada, as announced by the US administration, starting Tuesday, continue for at least 3-6 months.
Please exclude the names which are least or not effected.
Thank You

Q: You answered a previous question and indicated that Algoma would be affected by tariffs more than most. With imported steel costing more would it not be an incentive for domestic buyers to buy more from Algoma versus US and overseas and perhaps the effect is minimized .
Q: What Canadian resource companies 1. Have a high US ownership 2.most exposure to tariffs? Many thanks..
Q: Is MRC undervalued and if patient can be held long term? Any chance of buyout and what is the net asset value. Thank you,

Q: Hello Peter and 5 i teamTo a question a member asked after the Deep Seek 'revolution' re who would benefit with lower cost and more efficient AI, you answered that :'efficient AI could help lots of companies. Here are some that we think may benefit: SNOW, MDB, DDOG, PLTR, FRSH, NOW, NET, CRM.' Would you also include PATH in the same category?
Thank you for your always valuable insight,

Q: I am underwater significantly (-20 %to 30%) on the above 5 companies. I have a well balanced portfolio so am looking to either sell the above and replace them or add to them. Can you please give me your thoughts on which ones you would ditch and which ones (if any) you would add to. If you have any suggestions as replacements for any that you consider should be sold I would appreciate it. Thanks for your ongoing great insights. Peter
Q: Can you provide your thoughts on this weeks KKR investment in HSIC. What does this mean for HSIC and its possible future.
Q: I have been trying to get my head around what will happen with Trump's war against Canada. I have tended towards devastation to the Canadian economy and as such have shifted some investments to the US and taken a 25% cash position at least until we get some clarity on the situation. I would really like to get an understanding of just how devastating it would be. Assuming Trump does put a 25% tariff on Canadian goods just how bad does 5I think things could get . Unemployment numbers ? How deep a recession ? How or even can we weather the storm ? .... And any other thoughts you may have if we get the full brunt of a 25% tariff ? .....
